Experienced, but cold lawyer. Agree with other reviewer, once the initial agreement was signed I was just another case with little face to face time. Upon case closing at max percentage, lawyer added admin fees on top which was not explained to me as an added fee. Ended up taking 50% of claimed amount. I would not recommend him.

I found Derek Miura to be very cold. Once I signed my fee agreement, I was treated like a file rather than an individual client. At first glance, it appears Derek cares about you but that is just a facade. I wish the Derek that met me initially was the real lawyer I intended to retain. Look elsewhere if you want someone who genuinely cares

Very knowledgable lawyer. My case was turned down by different lawyers. Derek found an approach other lawyers missed. He clearly presented my case to the other side and I received a great settlement. Only complaint is the process takes a long time.
