This guy does not care about his job. Legal Aid failed to get the lawyer I wanted (not sure they even tryed) and after 3 weeks of calling them, stuck me with this joker the night before my appearance. I spoke to him on the phone beforehand and then he didnt even bother to show up. Since then he hasn't looked into my case at all. He has failed to show up for conferences and meetings. He is nearly always unreachable. This man should not be getting paid. Do Not Hire Mike Evans as your lawyer, you're better off representing yourself then having him.

Would not recommend as criminal lawyer. Seemed to take legal aid for every cent he could, delaying everything to the max for two years. No communication. Suspected collusion with police, seemed to be working for the crown, not with me. Because of lack of empathy, truth, and clarity, nothing was ever solved. Created much chaos and confusion for me. Not recommended as criminal lawyer.

This lawyer is a sweet talker and will give you a promise to help you and gives false hope. He will keep on making court dates or have meeting with you just to bill you, and this will go on for months and years. At the end of this you will be fed up and will get another lawyer. He may be a decent divorce lawyer according to all the reviews. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIM.

Mr. Evans is the kindest, most understanding criminal attorney you could ever ask for. Very communicable, very efficient, and very human. If you need a lawyer, Mr. Mike Evans should be your choice, by far.

I wasn't going to give him an overall 1, but I can see that most of his positive reviews are fake so some balance is required, since this guy should be avoided. Mike ignored my instructions several times while telling me what he thought I wanted to hear. I actually caught him lying to me once and when confronted with evidence his response was "Welcome to litigation". Couldn't believe it. Wish I had fired him then but I was in the middle of a delicate legal battle. This guy sells you on the business model of self representation with coaching, but in reality there is very little to no coaching and you're basically on your own. When I needed an emergency hearing for an urgent matter he drafted me the wrong form and did not show up at the hearing. I represented myself at my first court appearance which cost me. I strongly do not recommend. Hope this review helps someone make a better choice. Good luck.

Mike was very helpful and patient with a significant legal matter. He listened, offered his expertise and helped us navigate some pretty murky waters. I would not hesitate to recommend him! He was quick to respond, answer questions and provide expertise. Excellent.

Mr Evans assisted me with my separation and divorce. He was efficient and professional and actually steered me in ways to cost me less. He always was prompt with answering my calls and emails and portrayed that he cared about the outcome of my situation. Using a lawyer is a very stressful time and Mr. Evans tried his best to make it as comfortable as possible for me.

Mr.Evans helped me out with a case of false charges and within a couple of months he won it for me I recommend him fully even have him helping a friend out with another matter he made my life stress free and I can't thank him enough

I've hired Michael for a criminal matter that I was falsely accused by my ex. Michael has shown ongoing determination to have this dropped. Even though he's a busy lawyer he's returned my calls and emails within a decent time frame. I'm very thankful for him as he's taught me to be calm and patient through this craziness. Without a doubt I will recommend Michael to everyone!

Didnt return my phone calls. Was distracted and felt like I had to compete for his attention and remind me him constantly about the details of my situation. Hope he can focus soon so I won't lose out. Isn't that what I am paying for?

Never returns phone call or emails. Doesn't do what you ask of him. Really frustrating to deal with lack of communication and constantly having to phone or email to get a reply. Charges alot for phone calls between him and clients. Speaking to opposing parties without client's permission.

Mr. Evans is an incredibly hard working lawyer. He handled my matter with compassion and professionalism. His rates were fair and his communication was prompt. What people don't realize is that this man is a busy lawyer, he has many cases, not just yours. He may not phone you back within 5 minutes (which isn't possible anyway if he is in court), but my calls and emails are always responded to in a timely manor. To the gentleman who complained that Mr. Evans had to take some time off during his wife's illness.....that is quite insensitive of you. It's little wonder you needed a divorce!

I would highly recommend Michael J Evans. He helped our family in a time of desperate need. He made us feel like he would take care of our situaion and that we could trust him. He cared and he delivered what he promised. He made sure we knew all possible outcomes so we were prepared for whatever the results would be. He worked very hard and we never felt like he wasn't 100 percent on our side. Our family is so very greatful for such a great lawyer. It was nice to know there are still people out there who care and are willing to fight for a just cause. He was worth every dollar spent.

Mike is a complete let down. He failed me miserably. He sided with the other side. His wife was ill with a pregnancy and he was so distracted with it he ignored my case. It obviously affected how he dealt with me. He did not have the courtesy to give my case to another lawyer and deal with his personal problems. He kept my meter running to bring the bacon home. On many occasions when we met or talked he did not seem to recall the previous session or strategy. He would parrot back my words to look like he remembered what was previously discussed. His communication was dirt poor. In the matter of my child's child support, I had to come up with two distinct strategies to try to break the impasse. He was in agreement but didnt know where to go with it. He would send me a long email basically stating what we talked about then duplicate it all in a letter and charge me for both.This guy is definitely "junior partner" and mickey mouse.

I hired this lawyer for a delicate family matter. Spent a lot of money and got no results. In fact, he hindered my case with his lack of experience. He actually set me back instead of helping me get ahead. His communication was awful. Emails and phones calls were never returned in a timely manner and he would "no-show" appointments that he would schedule and not provide me any notice of such. I felt that there was no sensitivity on his part and never felt like my case was a priority.
