Oh my God, she was the worst. She literally handed my case over to someone else to close the divorce. This person had no idea what I was going through and about my divorce. So I was pretty much left on my own to deal with it. She called my exes, lawyer friend. Every time she addressed him which made me think hum and then two weeks later, she dropped me as her lawyer and put me onto some other guy like I said who hadn’t had a clue. Save yourself the money save yourself. Just save yourself. Go find a real lawyer. She is not the lawyer you want

My lawyer sent Ms Richard input and responses to her client's case. Months later, Ms Richard finally responded to my lawyer, without ever addressing our response or claims. Over years, Ms Richard kept ignoring our input, and dragged out every communication and proceedings. Eventually (after years), we had a 4-way meeting in my lawyer's office. At that meeting Ms Richard admitted (in the face of the evidence that she'd been ignoring for years) that she had "no case", that the evidence AGAINST many of her initial claims was overwhelming. Nevertheless, several months later she tried re-submitting to my lawyer the same tired old bill for things she'd already admitted had no grounds. What a terrible lawyer and experience.

this person has no morals and will drag things on to use up all your savings on any family matter. She should loose her licence.

This lawyer is disorganized, will over-promise, did not care about my well being and worse those of my children. She knows family law but will not apply it actively on your behalf. She will drag the process on and you will become an annuity. She will encourage you to go to court and then try to talk you out of it at the last minute but not until you have paid her handsomely to do nothing.The clock will keep running and you will keep paying. I tried to change lawyers three times in the process but was too far into it and had spent too much money. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Choose a divorce lawyer that has at least been married at some point and has had at least one child. This women just doesn't get it. I have never supplied anyone with the amount of information I did for her and all of it was for not. Go elsewhere - seriously, divorce is in itself stressful enough - you do not need your lawyer to add to your stress. You need an advocate and she is not it.

Seriously this woman is terrible. She will bill you over 350 an hour to vomit legal jargon into your eyeballs. That is when her great gapeing mouth isn't yawning at you. Then she will pad the bill not send your paper work over for 6 weeks after signing, send you incorrect bill, then an overdue notice while you wait for a correct invoice. Don't waste your time.

Selfish Greedy Witch who will put you and your children through hell with her extremely dirty mud slinging lies. Just an Evil person with a lot of personal insecurities, anger and mental health issues. Don't put your children and yourselves through the turmoil of going with her Its not worth it.

Awful experience. The above reviews are bang on. Elaine takes an eternity to return e-mails and phone calls and doesn't listen to the client's wishes. Her responses are wordy, lawyerly gobbledygook and she specializes in drawing things out to maximize her profit. NOT impressed and NOT recommended! I give her high marks in knowledge because I think she knows her stuff---perhaps too much--so much so that she gets snagged in detail and obfuscation.

Elaine Richard is only interested in her own pocket book! By billing her clients with lengthy wording and irrelevant matters and pushing for a trial because that's where the highest billing will is.

My support order was registered incorrectly. I had problems collecting support owed. When I contacted her office regarding this, they asked if I would meet with her. Then she billed me for the meeting. When I disputed the bill, she sent it to collection. Very poor service. Only interested in her fee.
