Worst lawyer I have ever had he lied to the judges face. I paid 1000 dollars and he did absolutely nothing for me and missed my first court date

My brother was represented by Michael McMahon in a DUI case. My brother is 50 years old and did have a DUI on record from 20 years ago. In a moment of panic, my brother found Mr. McMahon online. Unfortunately, my brothers' haste got him one of the harshest sentences that a DUI conviction can receive. The "deal" that was worked out w/the states attorney and Mr McMahon, was no deal at all.My brothers' license was revoked-1 yr, he rec'd 240 hrs community service, fines and all the other counseling classes and evaluations that go along with a DUI (I assume go w/a DUI). I know for a fact there are more competent attorneys out there; do your homework and read reviews. Know that who you're paying is interested in representing you, not just looking for a pay check. Had my brother informed the family of this incident, Mr McMahon would have never been given a chance to "represent" my brother. Sadly, finding out 2 months later, it was too late, my brothers' fate was sealed and its still not over
