CitationS, plural, citationS issued. Do not hire this lawyer. Several citations. Do your research. If you call the office this lawyers daughter will take your call and quickly hook you. Then funnel you to someone else. Too many complaints. Poor poor ratings, no way would I hire this person. Or anyone this person works with.

Our case was "small potatoes" and we kept being passed off to juniors who didn't seem to know what they were doing. Poor attention to detail (typos in legal documents, things not caught that should have been). Rude to his own staff. Extremely poor communication with us. His assistants wouldn't reliably return our calls. Not sure why we even hired a lawyer.

Please take care: this man’s ethics are sufficiently questionable he faces a law society hearing pertaining to, among other things, allegations of misappropriation of trust funds this coming October. His legal knowledge is questionable. His courtroom presence., diminishing in direct correlation to the shrinking empire of which he is a titular figurehead.

I really hoped he'd get me a reasonable settlement. He said he'd get me my money. He passed me to a junior lawyer who seemed to not be very knowledgeable and at times unaware or glib about my emotional pain. It made me feel worse... and be on the offensive, even though I had trouble fighting and needed them to help me greatly with this. I am emotionally drained and can't fight. This hurt - and in the end, I gained nothing but making myself depressed.

I concur with many other reviews on this one. Hart will promise you the moon, happy to take your money and then pass you off to an associate (junior) lawyer who will then tell you the reality (if you are lucky). Your money will go to waste.. He will not follow up or discuss once there are concerns but leave it to the junior lawyers to clean up the mess. Run in the the opposite direction. Impossible to get a hold of once there are issues or problems. Ms. Loi was professional and understanding - but what Darren tells you is probably and possible is all just a load of lies to get your money. NO heart in hart ... just a money grab.

I liked Darren Hart. I used him for a family law case and he was respectful and walked me through the process. I am not sure if he still practices law as I think he is franchising his law firm instead. He surrounds himself with pretty women but I don't blame him.

This lawyer will presaude you to drop your retainer and then tell you how expensive he is and put you on to his assistants for your legal issues. Great used car guy but lacks any sort of empathy towards familys in need. Likes to embellish when marketing to you and seems to disappear shortly after. I pulled out after a short time with him.

At the time I was looking for legal help with a divorce, Hart Legal was recommended to me. I met with Darren to discuss personal matters. I left the office with a number of recommendations from Darren, as well as a book called Spiritual Divorce, which I found very helpful. It really helped me to look at relationships in a more objective and positive way. Over the following number of months dealing with Darren and the staff of Hart Legal, I was treated with respect and given sound advice, without feeling unduly influenced or pushed into decisions. As a female I was disappointed with what I encountered at Hart legal and in particular Mr. Hart. He seemed constantly distracted by the pretty things around him - his office and assistants who seemed to be hired more for looks then performance. His hourly rate is higher then other lawyers in Victoria with twice his experience. Don't believe all the marketing - go with word of mouth he isn't worth the money
