I hired Alex Austin to handle issues with a roofer who did my roof improperly. The roofer refused to correct the roof. I sent a request to a Lawyer Referral Svc. They sent me 4 lawyers including Ms. Austin. None of lawyers contacted me except Ms. Austin. She handled the problem with the roofer timely and efficiently. Within 2 weeks a/f a demand letter was sent out to the roofer, the roofer came to her for settlement. The negotiation went back & forth for about 2 mos. During this time I lost patience w/t the process and started to doubt her credibility. I had checked online to see if there were any negative reviews about her and found one bad review. I thought that maybe I had hired the wrong lawyer & started to doubt that her svc. But about a month later she successfully settled the case to my satisfaction. I was very happy with her svc. Don’t be fooled by the bad review as I did. I highly recommend getting in touch w/t Ms. Austin. She is honest, skillful & efficient w/t her work.

I retained Alex Austin to review a simple employment contract in December of 2010. Throughout the process, she was absolutely horrible at communicating. I typically had to make 4-5 attempts to contact her before getting any kind of reply. Average response time was 3 weeks. As a result, a contract negotiation that should have taken 1-2 weeks has dragged on for 4 months. Despite repeated requests, her office never once sent me an invoice for any legal services. Over the past 2 weeks, I made 5 attempts to contact her, and she has replied to none of them. As a result, I paid a sizable retainer and received virtually NO USEFUL LEGAL SERVICES. The contract I wanted her to review remains in process, and her office will not even deign to send me an invoice. I highly recommend avoiding this person. She will take your money, ignore your emails, put off your phone calls, and render you practically no services whatsoever. Avoid.
