His paralegal, Diane, was a joy to speak with UNTIL I payed my $5000 fee to take them on. In her email initial email, she said I could contact her with any questions I had. All the questions I had were met with short, dismissive answers ie "you should hire another lawyer to answer that question". I had very limited contact with Mr. Dotsikas himself. If Xcopper tries to set you up with this lawyer, ask for someone else

Peter works with Xcopper - The only good part of Xcopper was the intake person Sandy Brohman, which for us turned out to be a bad thing. We signed up thinking that Peter and his assistant Diana were capable of fighting the criminal charge before us. Not only did we wait 6 months for the first telephone call from Peter, he spent a total of 1 hour reading the police notes and provided a condescending approach during that call.That was the last we heard from him. Diana was often the closest we got to speaking with Peter and she was rude, totally unprofessional. She is merely an extension of the lawyer. It is true that he shows up late to attend court matters and no defendent deserves this shoddy effort. He vacations a lot, and I guess he can when he takes people's hard-earned fees and then not complete the legal matter. Stay away from Xcopper as they take your money, do not share disclosure when its their duty to do so. Totally disgusted with Peter, Diana, XCopper - STAY AWAY!!

I hired Peter Dotsikas through copper. I arrived for our meeting. He had not reviewed my file. Demanded another 5 grand without going to court.he had another client come in the middle of our meeting..and asked me to step out while he talked to him. I hired a new lawyer at 25% of the price. Mr Dosikas kept my 5 grand. No court appearance. I honestly would never hire or recommend him Or copper. This guy is Milking with both hands. Run away from this one.

I got lucky and hired Peter without going thru xcopper which just pads your bill. I got to know Peter he got a friend off DUI while she was passed out at the wheel due to 3x over the limit and took out a hydro pole she awoke at the side of the road and was charged with DUI he got her off scot free...my case smoking WEED rode right into a RIDE program (duh ya i know thought it was big accident 15 cop cars) this lawyer got me off with scot free no record nothing even thou the J was still burning in the car astray ...great lawyer cost me $1500 in 2004 funny i was late and he was early stumping his feet because our deal had been made and court had start 1010am arrived!! I would use him over and over again

I am so grateful and proud that I had Peter Dotsikas and his team defending me on my recent trial. I cannot express my gratitude enough. I highly recommend Mr. Dotsikas to anyone who is in the unfortunate position of being criminally charged. He is a shark in the courtroom and sharp as a tack. Going into court that day I fully excepted the worst possible outcome. However, Peter put forth an incredible defence and fought to achieve, what I thought, was unachievable. When your lively hood is on the line, Peter is the man you want in your corner.

Hi I hired Peter for my dui charge and he was the best choice I made for my case. Peter and Diana they both worked hard and honestly to resolve my case and they were awesome in solving my charges. I would recommend Peter to anyone that are challenged with legal problems. On the other had Peter's assistant Diana was awesome as well when I needed something or has a question she will speak to Peter in a timely manner and always get back to me even if was out of her way. I personally think Peter and the team is one of the best out there and very honest I would give 10 out 10.

Peter was amazing. I hired him to defend me after a horrible traffic violation. He was upfront, didn't beat around the bush, and never charged me for minor questions like other lawyers would. He was always on time and after every time my case got put on hold, he gave me the ease and clarification I needed to keep going forward. Finally after a year and a half, Peter went it and did exactly what I hired him to do, he defended me and most importantly, he won for me. Peter has a heart of gold. He goes to bat for each and every single client of his. I would recommend him to anyone one I know and if I ever required legal representation again (I hope to god I do not) I would not hesitate to contact him and his firm.

Requiring an attorney is usually never a good thing, however Mr. Dotsikas made an otherwise uncomfortable part of my life very painless. His work ethic is incredible and his actions in the courtroom were unbelievably impressive. Mr. Dotsikas was very clear in what he planned on doing, and explained the whole process to me making me feel very at ease during the process. It was evident that he is exceptionally knowledgeable and good at his job. Mr. Dotsikas won my case for me and I would highly recommend his services to anyone who finds themselves in need.

As I never required a criminal lawyer before, I made 3 or 4 separate calls looking for a criminal lawyer and felt everyone was looking after my retainer fee first. Peter Dotsikas was different. He explained the process to me and retainer fee was secondary. So I retained him. In the two times that I was in the Court Room and watched a variety of other cases while waiting for mine, I noticed what a huge difference he made over the other lawyers with respect to his confidence in the Court room and his ability to communicate. This made me comfortable that I made the right choice before my case was finalized. Fortunately he was successful with my case and under the circumstances I was very pleased with the results. Hopefully, I will never require another criminal lawyer but if I do or if anyone I know will need a criminal lawyer, Peter Dotsikas will be recommended.

One of the best investments i did in recent time. When i was caught for DUI i was so tensed and worried, a friend of mine referred me to Peter. In my free consultation, Peter told how exactly how he will deal with my case. I was convinced he was the right person to fight my case. He won the case for me on early resolution. Hired this lawyer through Xcopper they charged my 4500. After my initial consultation. Never heard back from his office until months later telling me that the only thing to do is plead guilty and I would have a record. This man is just money hungry he asked for another $2000 plus host. he didn't listen to anything we had to say to support the case. We went to trial he was late both days wanted me to take a deal which would give me a criminal record. He even wanted another $1500. To show up for the judgement hearing. Stay away from this law firm. I got my license suspended for a year. And he got $7000 from me.

Paid HD Lawyers over 5000.00 claims i only paid Him 2000.00.When i pointed out i had signed receipts he said he was not aware i had two files (this was the vice president of the firm}Sent me a bill for 4800.00.I fired the lawyer.He is still claiming i owe him over a 1000.00 which would bring costs over the quoted agreements.their has not even been a trial date set yet.I have taken the bill to superior court of justice for assessment.if it goes in my favour small claims is next.Bad Bad Firm Complete miss management at all fronts by HD Lawyers

Hired Peter for a DUI Charge and could not have been happier with the outcome. Met with Peter at his office to discuss options and he was very clear in the meeting that it was going to be a difficult case. After reviewing all options I made the decision to try my luck at trial. I had mulitple phone call conversations as well as email correspondence with Peter leading up to the Trial date and he was very thourough in explaining my many questions! At the trial I watched as Peter made his notes as the Arresting officer was being questioned by the crown. When it was his turn to question the officer I knew for sure I hired the right person for the job! Peter did an amazing job turning a seamingly open and closed case into a dismissed case. Even the judge congratulated Peter on the quality of the cross examination. I will highly reccommend Peter to anyone that finds themselves in the same very stressful situation it could have been for me!

Personally I am quite surprised at the negative reviews written here. I can't believe anyone would have a negative experience using Peter. I hired Peter on a DUI case and he was outstanding! He called and we discussed my options. He was very straight forward in explaining exactly what he could do for me. The price was exceptionally reasonable and he did everything that he said he would. If I had to recommend someone to my family or friends it would be Peter! Thanks for your help; it was much appreciated!

I got a dui charge and hired peter dotsika through x-copper for 5000.00 which had to be paid in full in 5 months. He contacted me only once to go through evidence. He convinced me I had a case and so I decided to take it to trial. When we spoke before the trial he kept going on about all sorts of hypothetical things I should have done or should not have done at the time of the offence. He went to trial totally unprepared and babbled on during the trial trying to have the officers on the stand make a mistake....that was his game plan??!..aweful lawyer. He should be ashamed of himself. Hiring him sealed my fate from the start. I couldve plead guilty for free and only recieved a further 3 month licence suspension. Intead I spent 5000.00 and recieved a 1 year furthur licence suspension. Aweful aweful aweful lawyer stay away!

Worked with Peter Dotsikas through X-Copper. Flat rate fine was set at approx 5400 for the whole trial. Seemed like a bargain compared to other expensive criminal lawyers, but that is completely untrue. Once papers had been signed, I was ignored. When he finally called and "convinced" me that pleading guilty was the only option (which would have been free) he set the date to appear before court. He showed up 10 minutes late! Outside the courtroom, there were several other people. It turns out he had done the same thing to 7 other clients, and booked them on the same day to avoid conflicts with his vacation! $40,000 he made off of 30 minutes in court. I wouldn't let this man represent my worst enemy in a court of law. Absolutely reprehensable, I would sue for fraud if I wasn't duped into signing papers preventing that.

We hired this lawyer through x-copper. What a big mistake this was. We paid a lot of money for this guy and in the end he wanted more money for work he hadnt even done. I would advise anyone never to go with this lawyer. Not only did he try to get more money from us but he was also very rude and unprofessional when we refused to pay him more. Totally disappointed to know this guy even graduated from law school and became a lawyer.
