Elderly people beware. After father died he updated my mom's will despite the fact that original will dealt with what should happen with estate if dad should pass. My sister got total control. When we questioned Stephen he would not respond sitting confidentiality but did state he determined she was of sound mind. Meanwhile doctors were getting our consent as they deemed her to have dementia. Jump forward to now. As a result of this my sister was able to control everthing including not having tell us our mom/grandmother died. It still remains to be seen if her wishes for her estate are executed, by my sister according to this will he helped create.

I have used Mr. Shine on two occasions both for real estate. He is one of the nicest people and is very personable. He took his time explaining everything to me and really had my best interest in mind. He even went above and beyond when helping me close my second real estate deal when my mortgage broker was not diligent with my paperwork and basically left me high and dry $15K short on the bridge for closing. Mr. Shine's administrators are also absolutely lovely and helpful! A few of many great traits of this practice... Everyone responds quickly. He gave me his personal cell to contact him in the event I needed to. They stayed late and came in early just to accommodate me. I would highly recommend him and his team. He has a client in me for life.

This was involved in a real estate deal that did not close smoothly. He seemed to have little regard for the best interests of his own client. Proceed with caution, especially if elderly. He actually told his client that he would not explain something again, as he'd covered it before!

ATTENTIVE AND TAKES YOUR CALLS AND SPEAKS TO YOU PERSONALLY. RETURNS PHONE CALLS ASAPGREAT STAFF.GREAT GUY VERY SMART MAN.I USE MR.SHINE OFTEN FRO REAL ESTATE DEALS AND PERSONAL DEALINGS.MY CLIENTS LOVE HIM.

Poor communication. Contacted him in Late Feb, he told me he was going on vacation until Mar 15. No contact by late Mar, I had to call him - his secretary said he was in a meeting, and when he called back, he said he 'had just gotten in the building'. Promised to review my materials (given to him 4 weeks prior) and call me next day. No call. Calls 2 days later and promises letter by Monday. Monday comes and goes, no letter, no call. I call him Friday, and he says he hasn't had 'expected availability of computers and internet.' (Really, you couldn't find a computer? What's next, your dog ate my letter?)I cant judge the quality of work, because I never received any. After 6 weeks of telephone tag and laughably inconsistent excuses, I pulled the plug and fired him.

Mr. Shine was able to assist us with our law suit and provided excellent advice throughout. We obtained an excellent result in the end.
