This attorney is a crook . He is horrible a few years ago his office had gotten better it was clean he had some order well now it's a mess he has a young lady working for him that is rude nasty and only helps her own kind. when i went to the office on wedesday she was smoking with another man and kicked me out a real shame when you see the " ciafone" name do your self a favor and run.

Worthless, took my case (and my money) and didn't do anything. Doesn't care about his clients. Do yourself a favor and find another lawyer.

absolutely horrible. incorrect and misleading billing. would not give me any information. kept forwarding the same crap from the opposing attorney pretending it was new, and thinking i wouldn't read it. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY!!! In the end i got billed an exhorbitant amount. i should thank god he was a NO SHOW when we were to meet with the other attorney.

In 2006,my wife was involved in an vehicle accident with serious injuries.John Ciafone took the case and never put any effort in bringing any legal action againts these people. I called him several times but he gave me excuses and eventually I gave up and move on. This guy does not care about others and his work.

Ciafone was supposed to comply with a regular divorce proceeding brought forth in NY by 2 native New Yorkers. (He represented the Plaintiff) Instead of following regular procedures, he obtained an illegal divorce via Mexico that is not enforceable here in NY. In 2006 I requested a copy of the divorce. He told me to get it from my ex - okay he was his attorney - but it never came through until my attorney went after him and I received a copy. This was in 2006. Then I found out that the divorce papers do not even exist in Mexico. This began in 2003/04 - it is now 2011, I had to hire another attorney; Ciafone is still dragging his feet to follow through with this simple proceeding. He does not care about the lives of the people involved. Appalling. Absolutely appalling. Fines should be imposed on attorneys who obtain illegal divorces.
