James was great for three main reasons. He always kept me in the loop as far as what work he had done for me, and never overbilled. Third, I'm convinced representation from him was as good as with any big firm attorney. We settled and I was pleased.

Mr. Hartt was honest with me. He was clear about billing which is huge for me. I'd use him a gain in a heartbeat.

Do not trust anything that James Hartt says. He continually asked for money without providing proper billing/time statements. When confronted with said information, he would say that he would send it an never did. Furthermore, his communication is horrible, and the only time he really got in touch with me was when he was asking for more monies. I have all the documentation to prove this, so if he tries to refute this, which he probably will do, I can prove it. Unless your case is cut and dry, go with someone else.

James Hartt gave me the truth upfront, and said my case was borderline, but I got a decent settlement for very little money upfront as far as lawyers are concerned. The negative reviewers sound like sour grapes to me! Damn!

Mr Hartt singlehandedly saved me from a long prison sentence for completely false allegations relating to an ex spouse who was bent on falsifying ridiculous accounts of a fight where it was me and me alone being attacked. I then hired him a second time, and he returned money to me when the ex backed off for the second of her two claims against me. please trust me, James Hartt is intelligent, uber responsive and he doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Any of these negative reviews I have been reading and laughing over, you might want to take with a grain of salt, since they can't even spell correctly in most cases. Don't be afraid to discuss billing in advance! I did! And lots of lawyers charge double and triple and quadruple.

Took on my wrongful termination case and settled it within days for an amount that please me. His percentage was fair too, unlike some other lawyers I seen. Call this guy, he makes it happen.

we hired this person to handle an easy lawsuit, he barely said a word, never returned phone calls, and waited till the time ran out and said he could no longer handle this case ( because it wasnt easy). This cracker jack lawer will take your money, use your time and leave you high and dry!!!

I have to give Mr. Hartt top marks. From the first meeting until I received a handsome check, the communication was fantastic. Mr.Hartt provided me with great advice and did not let me get bullied around. I would definitely recommend Mr.Hartt and if I found myself needing a lawyer again, I would hope he wold take my case.

I retained James D. Hartt to represent me against an educational municipality. He wasted over a year of my time; did not communicate; and withdrew during an active civil case claiming I would not cooperate with discovery. He billed 3500.00 for discovery. I would not retain this attorney.

I had a age discrimation case. I paid Mr. Hartt, $1,000.00. He did nothing for me. I lost the case. We went to court and said, nothing. He got my hopes up. DO NOT HIRE Mr. Hartt. I still can't fine a job.
