Gail and her husband like to rip you off for every penny possible and do not provide any conflict resolution. I wish we could start a lawsuit against them for all of their malpractice as they cost us about $15,000 for nothing and it looks like they’ve done the same to many other people. NEVER USE HER!!!

I really wish I read all these reviews prior to hiring Gail as they are completely true. We lost over $15,000 to her for absolutely nothing. She plays with your emotions to make it seem like she cares, meanwhile her husband charges your credit card $2500 a week for work they cannot show or prove they do. When we asked them to mediate thru the law society regarding our bill they refused. We feel completely scammed and have no recourse. I don’t know how Gail and her husband sleep at night. They are truly evil people.

Gail is an old WASHED UP Lawyer. She only cares about sucking all your money from you and nothing else. DO NOT USE HER or you will be sorry. Ask anyone that knows of her, they will tell you the same. She was very rude and useless in court and even I wanted to tell her to stop talking! She will tell you story after story and bill you the time. I could not keep up with her husband asking me for money so I told her I was done, she said "I don't blame you"! I wish I read these reviews too! Would have saved me $30,000 for nothing! You will be sorry if you try her....

I wish I had read the previous reviews before I saw her. Everything they say is true. I was charged an entire retainer fee after dismissing her on the second visit. How do lawyers get away with this?

I felt Gail did a terrible job representing me in my family law issue. She gave me false hopes, supporting what I now know, were unrealistic expectations. This created more conflict which she profited off of. She was not knowledgeable in family law, simple questions would result with her looking through her law book, page by page, meanwhile, in your head you are calculating how much this question is costing you. Given her experience, one would think she should have a pretty good understanding of the subject. I would be billed for calling in to inquire why a response hasn't been sent. I was seriously billed for a phone call to remind her to do her job. The list goes on, she is terrible..

Well now ,PLEASE and I mean PLEASE read before you make your choice.I went to Gail because I was told she was one of the best in Kelowna. My guess is that the early 60's she would have been good. In todays world I rate her at a minus 5 but they don't put that in the ratings.So these are my reasons.1) Her husband is the book keeper and every Friday he needed my Visa number to put $ 5000.00 retainer.2) She charges for every second and does a lot of nothing 3) Went to court 3 or 4 times at almost $ 3500.00 a pop for each day. 4) After 1 year and nearly $ 100,000.00 in lawyer bills I pulled the plug on her and then received a tongue lashing from her and her book keeper that it is expensive to go through a divorce .LOL I knew that as I was paying the bills every month.I could go on and on but you be the judge as I am just telling you about my experience with them. I just wish I had read this site and her reviews before I went in and hired her. Now I need to work for another 10 years to pay

Wish I read the reviews before using her. She charged me over $6500.00 to do nothing. Then went to pay $2500.00 to someone who simply did the whole thing I needed done in the first place. She booked a JCC that my ex had to come in from Alberta to attend, and then forgot about it, and was in a trial with another client and left us waiting for over an hour - and then, sent me a bill for the hour I was left waiting in the hallway of the courthouse.

HORRIBLE AND WASTE OF MONEY! This lawyer will not be polite and wastes endless time babbling in court. Does not know clients names/details while representing and makes a mess of the situation. Her staff is unfriendly and very uncooperative to work with and overall a joke.

Gail is the worst lawyer ever. She over charges and we took her to court and got money back. So if you know of anyone who has used her you can probably get some of your money back she over charges on anything she copies or faxes. She charges her same wage even if the secretary does the work. She does not even read over the case and she is like a turtle in the court room. She does not help you in any matter her quote is "well the worst thing is you could lose". I truly believe that if we all got together and went to the law society or sued her for misrepresentation we should be able to get a good percentage of our money back. She cost my husband everything. She should be held accountable. She should be honest and advise clients that she is not a trial lawyer.

All I can say is I wish I would have read this before! This woman and her husband are horrible, over charged me for a phone consult and wasted my time by initially telling him all my info then having to tell her when she called me wasting over 30mins of my consult, at $325/hr...I'll never speak to them again.

She is horrid. Even if you are better off settling, she pushes for war. She goes on holidays for weeks over Christmas and the office is shut down, so you are out of luck if you r ex decides to drop a bomb on you just before Christmas. I complained and she fired me as a client. I almost end reported here to bar because she leaves other clients' files all over her desk and you sit right there and can see who is using who. Completely unprofessional. And the husband is a jerk x 10. And yes, he did make me cry. Neither one has an ounce of empathy.

Gail and her husband are prime examples of why people relate lawyers to be the lowest of the low. Their only concern is in burning through clients retainers, charging $200 to $300 simply to send you a letter telling you they want more money. Her husband called me one day to tell me he had my debit card number and only needed me to provide him with my pin and he would just start debiting my account, for my "convenience" Stay away from these two, there have to be more professional lawyers available that actually care a little to provide some value for their billing. And I concur with all the comments regarding Gail's refusal to use email. Strictly for her benefit and it should tell you what she's all about. Stay away unless you have more money than brains.

Gail doesn't do email with her clients, which in today's world is bizarre! She does however do email with other parties, so I expect it's because she can charge more. I agree with the comments about her husband - rude, arrogant & not the type of receptionist you would expect to find in a lawyer's office. I have changed lawyers & would not recommend her. I felt that I was overcharged and could not understand how she billed.

Wow, terrible. Her husband was boorish and arrogant. Put out lots of cash for what? I don't know. Made mistakes on important documents. Dragged out procedures or completely dropped them. Really felt used at a very traumatic time in my life.

I use Gail " the killer miller" and yes I agree with all the statements about her rudness. She actually scares me.....but really....i'm not here to make a friend...this is serious business! she is the one who will get you what you want and more!!!! She is extremely experienced, knowlagable and knows exactly what needs to be done and does it! I have recomemded her to many friends for divorse and everyone has been very happy with her.

I was not impressed with Gail. She seems very knowledgable about divorce issues but really couldn't care a bit about the outcome. If there were a rating for billing she'd get an 10 on that one because she sure knows how to bill. She carries too may cases as a time so doesn't seem to do justice to any of them, at least mine she didn't. Her quality of work was poor as she made numerous clerical errors and errors in actual facts that had been presented to her. She bills you to correct her mistakes too. I was finally fed up with her and got a different lawyer.

I heard that Gail Miller had a reputation for being a courtroom lawyer, so I went to her. She told me that going to court would be expensive and it was. She told me what I would likely achieve in court and she was right. My ex was horrible and Gail Miller was great at getting me through the divorce process.

I agree fully with the last comments. Her husband is quite rude and abrupt, and the first thing he asks for is a retainer. In this day and age of emails, she insists on not doing email. How she calculates time I am not sure, but she insists on payment immediately. Compassion, not sure she is familiar with the word. The only good thing I can say is that I believe she knows the system and works well in court.

Her husband runs the front office/billing and is rude and condescending beyond belief. May make you cry. She is very knowledgable with tons of experience and a reputation in Kelowna. Definitly likes to go to court. However, she is a pain to deal with personality wise. She is not caring so if you want someone "nice", don't see her. But worst of all, she has everyone's files on her desk so everyone knows who is getting sued by whom. They are open and visible sometimes, not all the time. She doesn't accept emails but insists on a paperless file, so be prepared that every piece of paper you deliver to her gets scanned and you get billed per page. If you can handle dealing with her, I am sure she can do well for you.
