If you want to deal with a narcissist, mean, heartless disgusting individual... he is your guy!! he deals with things without taking no one interests into consideration, not even his own client's. Please do yourself a favour and make sure you keep yourself away from this animal.

After a difficult time with a previous lawyer John helped me sort out a estate He saved me from losing over a million dollars . He took over the from the previous lawyer who was trying to hide assets from the estate from me . The other lawyer acted as if he thought I was dumb and could be easily manipulated he was bullying me and hiding assets abusing his power .John sorted the estate out and never over charged me . The other lawyer charged me a huge charge for just four meeting while John charged me less than third of what I paid off the first lawyer for getting back control of the estate . John treated me with respect . I would only use John Hodgins

Only had an initial consult with him of about an hour and 10 minutes. He seemed personable and nice. I was in the process of determining if I needed a lawyer or not and was seriously considering signing an agreement with him asked him two questions by email which he never answered. Demanded I sign with him. Told him I needed more time. He said "good luck" I will send you the bill. Since I had only had the initial consult I was surprised but was willing to pay him for the time overrun beyond 30 minutes. Was expecting a bill for the 40 minutes (about $300). Instead got a bill for almost $900 which included charges prior to meeting, charges for responding without advise (the response being to come in and pay a retainer and we can discuss). Phoned him to discuss the bill and he was rude and uncooperative. I'm not sure about the legalities of charging for work prior to even meeting and may have to talk to the law society on this. I wouldn't recommend him.

This lawyer is very expensive and also very rude. The office made 2 mistakes for our transaction. I would not recommend this lawyer.

HAS HANDLED SEVERAL TRANSACTIONS ETC OVER THE YEARS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN MOST RELIABLE AND PERSONABLE. JUST HAD OCCASION TO USE A LAWYER ONCE AGAIN AND DID NOT HESITATE TO GO BACK TO JOHN. IF ANYTHING, HE HAS GOTTEN BETTER.

This lawyer is very tenasious, however, he dragged my case out, and kept sucking my money like it was water! In the end I changed lawyers!

This lawyer wants to win at all cost. He doesn't consider his client's best interest or the client's children. He informs his client to go after the spouse in unintegrated manner. Shame on him.
