Click to report rating    12/6/16   1     1     1     1     1   I hired Mr Carroll for a probate matter. He failed to notify me about some communications from the other attorney which resulted in my loss of a chance to pick out family heirlooms to keep. They were sold at a cheesy estate sale that I was warned against even going to, and maybe try and at least buy some family pieces. I ended up not receiving even one photograph of my deceased family members. Not even one. Stay away from this attorney or you might likely be heartbroken as well. Reviews are meant to be positive or negative. I have only have posted what happened. You seem to recognize $7500 is a good amount of money for a retainer. I received one email with a pdf of an early motion. That was it. Despite asking weekly for a statement of account on what the monies were used on, I received stalling tactics for weeks and never got a statement or invoice. That was very unprofessional and sad. Click to report rating    2/28/11   1     1     1     1     1   This guy had no clue what was going on with my case at any time. When you call you get, "Who is this???? And what was I representing you for? If you don't mind, refresh my memory on what we talked about and what I am doing for you." Then you get a bill in the mail saying he charged you $100 for the call. He adds to the monthly bill that he had conversations with his secretary about your case but has no clue about it. In the beginning you are told, " X dollars is all I need, easy case." You pay him and bam, it’s all gone and he needs more but nothing is done. You haven't even been to court yet or seen a judge. Nothing but 3 papers filed. I was almost thrown in jail because he "forgot" to respond to a demand. I find out by a friend who said, "You have a warrant coming out" I find out I am in contempt of court. When I approached David Carroll about about it he accuses the other side of not informing him. BS we saw the papers in our file, then he blamed it on his secretary. RID: 41751
