I used this attorney for an uncontested divorce with no children. He never provided me with an itemized statement of his services and took over $7000 out of the proceeds from the sale of our house which he was holding in escrow for me. I was notified by his office that I could pick up the check when things were finalized and it was only then that I was made aware that apparently he believed his services were worth the additional $7000 on top of my $2000 retainer when the check for the house proceeds was $7000 short with no statement of billing included. I asked to speak with him about this but he was out on his way out of town for an extended vacation.

John fought hard for me. He is tenacious and the most compassionate attorney I've met. He explained the process to me and was responsive to my questions. I've not only used him for my divorce but also when I got hit in my car. His knowledge of the law helped me get more money than I thought the insurance company would pay. He's one of the best in the city.

Is not upfront about fees and will not fight for you in court. My take home was $3000 a month and I was paying $2500 a month in spousal support. He did not fight for me in court or let me go in to defend myself; in fact, he would come out and ask me for answers to questions that the judge asked. He should have been prepared to answer all questions; in addition, I constantly had to refax documents to him. He cared more about getting my money than trying to win the case.
