AVOID this attorney! In my experience, she is extremely negligent, which cost me substantially in my settlement. She talks one game and plays another. She failed to respond to the judge and the opposing attorney in reasonable time. She charged me for work she would not itemize or explain. She miscommunicated the judge's decision to me, which ultimately led to a contempt charge against me, then she blamed me for her errors. She repeatedly lied to me. She refused to answer calls, emails, or texts. I lost a good part of my retirement because of her failure to perform. This lawyer caused me enormous grief and lost assets. I finally filed 5 complaints about her with the Disciplinary Board, which found that the 26 documents I provided were sufficient proof to investigate her. As I write this, the Disciplinary Board is weighing what to do with her.

Jill is a true professional. Her expert advise helped me (the Father) to get full custody rights for my Daughter. She asked good questions and listened to my responses. She consulted me on a plan and followed up with me on status. Jill is very careful about managing costs for her clients. If you are looking for a solid attorney who will advocate for you, Jill Jackoboice should be your number 1 choice. She is hands down the best Kansas City Attorney. A few of my friends have used her with similar results.

Once there is an initial visit...there is no communication. She does not seem to know the laws of the different counties. Impossible to get a return call or email. Find another attorney

I hired Jill after finding her listed as one of KC's "Super Lawyers". I found my previous lawyer this way and would have used him if he hadn't been appointed a judge. I was unbelievably impressed after my initial consultation with Jill. She is smart, knowledgable, personable. I felt like she understood what was going on with my case like she had been with me from the beginning and immediately hammered out a plan of action. That is where the positive part of this review ends. This initial consult was one of the last times I had actual contact of any kind with Jill. It is close to impossible to get Jill to return phone calls and emails. My ex's lawyer also could not get her to respond. With their new email invoice system I still received my bill every month, even after not receiving any form of communication for months at a time. In the end, I had her remove herself as my attorney of record. Save your time and money and choose another lawyer.

Honestly, I had no idea what I was going to do when I was going through the divorce process. However, Jill Jackoboice was recommended to me by a close colleague and I called her immediately. Within the next hour, she returned my call with a set plan on my divorce while also asking me countless questions pertaining to my divorce. Throughout the process, she kept me in the loop, so it befuddles me to see these other reviews. In addition, I was happy with her tenacity in the courtroom and the manner in which she handled my entire case.

I would say that Jill is the worst divorce attorney in the Kansas City area. She is IMPOSSIBLE to get ahold of and only returns calls when she is demanding money for doing absolutely NOTHING! Please look else where if you need representation.

I would not recommend Jill Allison Jackoboice as an attorney. Neither I nor my ex's attorney was able to contact her during the divorce and I eventually had to mail a letter to her indicating that I was firing her. She of course kept most of the retainer that I paid her. I ended up worse in the divorce because I hired her. She doesn't return phone calls or emails after the initial visits that you have with her. Once I paid her the retainer money, she was very very difficult to contact.

Felt there was little effort put into my case. No follow thru in negotiations, misplaced paperwork, and communication was very frustrating. Billing is not clear - no explanation even when requested. Would not recommend.

Jill is an excellent attorney but she is terrible with her communicating with her clients. If you call her it may take days or weeks before she returns your calls. She is not good at keeping you up to date on how your case is going. Many times you have a court date and she has not communicated with you prior to the hearing. Sometimes she doesn't show up with you to your hearing she sends someone else. When you can get her to talk with you and go to court with you she is great, but it is my feeling that she has too many clients and cannot give enough time to everyone so we all get poor service. If she would concentrate on fewer clients her quality of work would greatly improve. I have used her in the past but would not use her again or would not refer anyone to her because of the time and communication issues she has.
