I was charged with stunt driving. I hired Ron on a recommendation. I found Ron to be knowledgeable, easy to talk to and he kept me informed every step of the way. He got my charge reduced to a minor speeding ticket saving me years of very expensive insurance. I would highly recommend him and would not hesitate to use him if the need ever arises.

I was charged with driving over 80mg late one evening. I was referred to Ron Jourard by a friend who’s a lawyer. I took the advice and called Ron. He called me back promptly (even though he was on vacation!) and heard my case. I instantly felt comfortable with him because he had me fill out a questionnaire to help jog my memory of that night. He explored every detail: the arrest, the breath testing and everything in between. I blew 108 and was facing a one-year driving ban, a criminal record and an ignition interlock once I got my license back. I have a sales career and drive every day in the presence of clients so this would be devastating. Ron persuaded the prosecutor that it would be tough to prove the case against me and got me the best outcome I could hope for. The charge was reduced to Careless driving and no driving suspension. And to top it off, he was able to get police to destroy my fingerprints in under three months. You need a lawyer and this is the man to get the job done

In September 2017, I was charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 after I crashed my car into a guardrail on the highway. I was lucky to be referred by a friend to Ron Jourard. At our first meeting, he impressed me as very experienced, knowledgeable and understanding of my situation. My case was unique because a conviction would result in my deportation from Canada. Throughout the process, he kept me informed regarding the next steps. Mr Jourard's honesty, professionalism and brilliant vision are the qualities I admire most and am truly grateful for. I had never been arrested before, so after i was arrested and charged with uttering threats, i was scared and confused, with no idea about the legal system i found myself involved in. I was quickly able to get a hold of Mr Jourard and meet with him the day after i called. At the consultation, he was restrained and professional, explaining the situation to me and laying out the various paths forward in a clear and measured way. He was also patient with me every step of the way, explaining anything i didn't understand in a way i could. 5 months after the initial arrest, and after completing a diversion program, the charge was dropped. This allowed me to avoid a criminal record and punishment. Mr Jourard refunded me most of the retainer because less work was involved than initially anticipated.

Made promises at the beginning that made me decide to hire him. Later on found out they were broken promises, when I asked him later on in my case about the key points he mentioned when I first hired him Ron would fabricate a story. Like to over charge his clients when he finds out that he can not get anymore money from you is when he will actually set a court date. I hired him by the hour when I went to meet with him in his office he would frequently have his assistant walk in and disrupt the meeting in an passive way to “run up the time.”

Early morning of Feb 20th, 2016, I was arrested for impaired driving by Durham Police. As my breathalyzer results were 110 and 120, I was also charged with Over 80.
One of my friends highly recommended Ron Jourard as he had successfully defended my friend’s DUI charge. I did some research on Ron and I saw he had extensive experience in cases involving serious driving offenses. I retained Ron Jourard’s legal services for my recent shoplifting charges. My case was complicated as I had been previously charged with the same offence. I got diversion for my earlier charges but this time the Crown screening form said diversion was not available. So I was extremely concerned I’d get a conviction which could hurt my future.
Ron took my case and interviewed me about my personal situation. After finding that I had anxiety issues, he suggested we try for mental health diversion. It was a lengthy process over many months filled with medical appointments, counselling and workshops.
In the end, the Crown withdrew all my charges unconditionally. Ron even convinced the Crown not to require that I sign a peace bond which it had initially insisted on. I am extremely thankful for Ron’s help and the result he achieved. I would recommend him to anyone caught in similar difficult situation.

My son was faced with an unexpected, unnerving police situation. We called Ron late in the day and he did not hesitate to help. In fact, I was surprised at how concerned he was. He went above and beyond.

I also used Ron to fight traffic tickets. For 40 years l had a clean driving record and then suddenly I got two tickets in one week. One for speeding (police used a radar gun), the other for improper stop. I was resigned to lose but didn’t want to go down without a fight.

This lawyer is rude and condescending. He answered his phone "What do you want?" I wasnt even sure I had the correct phone #. He yelled on the phone. I will not deal with him again.
