Melanie Duggan was my lawyer, however she had to go on stress leave, she didn't communicate this to anyone and the law firm she worked at eventually fired her. She Will overcharge you and bleed all your money, she doesn't look at the big picture and she isn't looking to solve problems instead. She's looking to get as much money as she can. She's been forced to move from many firms now set up office in Duncan. Doughnuts, XL

Had Melanie as a lawyer at johns southward LLP in Victoria, she was often tardy, showed up unorganized and disheveled. Eventually she was terminated and went on a "medical leave". very unprofessional.

A neighbour hired Duggan after an acquaintance recommended her. It was a big mistake and a waste of six thousand bucks. Her husband's lawyer Butterfield & Duggan had no plans to ever resolve the dispute. On Aug. 15/11 the judge ordered my neighbour & her husband to obtain CRA Notices of Assessments for the previous ten years her husband only supplied for two years and Duggan had no idea & didn't care they were filed at the registry. What she did care about was getting paid every month.

I helped a woman prepare docs from August 2012 to November 2012 and it took from the middle of September to November for me to persuade the woman to dump Duggan because she and Michael Butterfield were serious foot draggers. The woman and I, not Duggan, went to the Victoria registry to find out the husband had not provided the court ordered previous 10 years CRA Notices of Assessment and Duggan did absolutely nothing about this other than to shrug a shoulder.

Melanie is definitely worth the money. Very reasonable, understanding, and made my horrible separation so easy. Her Partners are great and they are a really good team. Highly recommended.

Melanie was fantastic! Very approachable, sensible, she listened to me and did what I asked of her. She navigated my bitter difficult divorce with a cool headed approach and was very effective in reaching a solution. I would recommend her to anyone. I have been very happy with her work.
