HORRIBLE lawyer. CANNOT BELIEVE that this woman is assigned to work for children. She is not at all, in the best interest of the child. She sides with the dead beat,abusive parent for whatever reason. Even when the children speak up about it and even when there is documented proof! She doesn't care, and she will drag this out for as long as she can. She absolutely lies and twists stories around. Not sure how a person thinks they are right by doing that. ESPECIALLY a KIDS lawyer!! Absolutely absurd. She will destroy you and the wellbeing of your family. She make the case extremely stressful where it shouldn't be. Definatly doesn't have your childs back. She should NOT be working for children.

my son has her and even with my son telling her where he wants to be and knowing my son is repeatedly assault by his father which is documented by hospitals and police she sides with the criminal father. She has 0 manners and extremely rude, how she works with children is mind boggling. My son says she doesn't listen to him at all. CAS picked her and everyone including the courts are in each others pockets. Find a lawyer thats willing to work for the child and listen to them. sad she gets paid to help children when in reality she is in CAS's pocket. upper law society should be looking into her and her lack of ethics and morals. How many childrens lives has she help ruin for not doing her job. Awful that people like her represent the ones that need it the most. she should represent criminals not children

Sandra represented my daughter through the OCL or rather her father's wishes not my daughter's wishes. This case took 2 YEARS for access of alternating weekends that my 15 year old daughter wanted. Years of my daughter's life taken away from her, unbelievable costs for regular access for her father - he wanted all weekends and all vacation time - she didn't. Sandra lost and my daughter won. The government paid Sandra's huge bill. What a waste of 2 years and a whole lot of money. I don't know now if I can afford to send her to university - all my savings were spent on 2 years of OCL involvement for access. It was not about my daughter, it was all about the money.

I also agree this lawyer is VERY BIAS towards men. We had Sandra represent the children through the OCL. Sandra allowed herself to be persuaded by the dead beat mother to slightly increase her limited access. I had warned the OCL that the mothers words could not be trusted, but I was not heard. The mother previously suffered from mental illness, previously CAS had removed the kids when in her care. The mother had also removed the children from school and ran off to a woman's shelter in Cobourg. I felt forced to agreed to her recommendations to avoid a costly trial. Since then the mother has recanted on some of that extra access time, the mother has also refused to retain the services of the family mediator assigned by Scovino. The mother also refuses to use Family Wizard to communicate as now ordered. Ms. Scovino has only created more conflicts...I am now stuck with a final agreement that means nothing...The OCL was the only winner here, charging big bucks back to the government.

My son was assigned Ms. Scovino as his OCL lawyer. I found her to be very involved and concerned about my son's welfare and provided guidance and support that would eventually help our entire family deal with the custody issue. Ms. Scovino was very thorough and showed allot of compassion for my son and the difficult situation he was in regarding myself and my ex. I thought she was extremely fair and very understanding. BTW...my Ex and I settled out of court and our son is doing better than ever!

She has only an interrest to do things quick and easy. She screwed up so bad that we had to go get an emergency order that was granted. She is an awfull representative for the male party and is on side with most courts that women should have sole custody regardless of her presentation to you. Her actions clearly show this once she is retained. You are just another person entering her office don't think that she actualy cares...She did not comply with our request to deal with a matrimonial home that was now vacant but took the first court time to ensure child support which was already being paid and spousal support and so on would be coming from her client. needless to say because of her negligence the matrimonial home went in defaults after 7 months of her client trying to keep up with all the payments he had to make. What a waste....and this was not necessary
