I was absolutely surprised by Ian Bruce. He was my daughter’s lawyer since 2015 and in 2019 he won an impossible case! Throughout the Supreme Court family trials, I noticed how much the Judges respected him. Despite his calm domineer, his words were impactful, honest. My daughter is a fighter and when her heart is committed to something she never gives up. Thanks to our higher power, Ian was now the one who had to deal with her spunk. If he can handle her I say he is a strong man in my books!

Mr.Bruce is my Jerry Maguire and his Legal assistant Samantha is my Erin Brokovich! Thanks to Melanie Murray I had the privilege to be introduced to this hard working team that took on a client and case and that was difficult. They both fight for what is right. They both taught me valuable lessons along a 4 year journey yet never gave up on me or my case. If you want a good team I strongly suggest Mr. Bruce and Samantha.

Mr. Bruce has been practising for 41 years. He took my case and got excellent results for me. He is kind and has a vast knowledge of the law. I would recommend this lawyer.

Took advantage of a fragile woman and ruined her life. He is mandated by law to advise her to seek professional help before making final decisions, but instead sent her to a women's home strictly to advance his case. The consequences have been tragic and ruined lives that speak volumes for his integrity and the best interests of his clients.

Ok so i see theres alot of bad. Well as a lawyer he is amazingly sweet and kind hearted. His office is professional, you cant please everyone thats why only negative on here bc all the good is to busy to write but when ur mad bc it didnt go ur way ull take to ruin him. Ian bruce stood beside me when no one did and yes one of his staff member's kid was sick but it shows how amazing he was not to higher somone to take her place like most bosses would. I was one of the toughest cases and he did it i was attacked in family court from every direction. So YES if he can take you on do it!! Bc atleast youll have someone that cares

Ian Bruce is the most incompetent "lawyer" in Sarnia. Pretty sure he received his law degree from a school you'd find advertised on the back of a matchbook. His colleagues mock him and he has no idea wtf is going on. Poor communication skills, a liar, doesn't fight for you or explain anything that's going on - probably because he has no idea what is going on. The only thing that guy cared about was padding his bill, which is the only thing he did well. All I wanted was a simple paternity test and that tool dragged things out a year and a half which cost me $20,000. I would not recommend Ian Bruce to my worst enemy. You'd have better luck trying to represent yourself.

Just dumped him! 6 Months, $1500 and he sent 1 letter!! On a straight forward separation. Doesn't return calls. Lies to you about when he sent letters.( the date is on them, dumbass!) Stay far away!!!

Be careful. This lawyer signs consent orders without checking with his client. He never returns phone calls, cancels appointments, and care about nothing except money. Blames his staff for his mistakes and lies constantly says papers done, call staff they say not sone. He will bill you even for you leaving a message to call you. His Clerk does everything. Seems she is smarter then he is. Says nothing in Court and does not defend his clients at all. Lets all the other lawyers bully him and win. Terrible lawyer.

Mr Bruce is the most pathetic and lame lawyer you will ever meet! His knowledge is limited and his communication skills virtually non-existent! He is rude, excitable if questioned, monotone in his reaction and full of excuses! He does not return calls, produce the paperwork or letters requested and fails to speak in court against his legal opposition. It is like Mr Bruce is timid or afraid of Sarnia's most prominent lawyer. He backs down from challenges and does not question his information, tactics or story. I would not recommend this lawyer to anyone because quite frankly he is useless!

Just to prove that at some point even lawyers need to be accountable ...I just took Mr. Ian Bruce to assessment and clawed back $4000.00 The assesser stated he was limited by his power to do any more but did hint at reporting this lawyers wrong doings to the Law society of Upper Canada which WILL be done..I signed a motion to change document in his office and it somehow mysteriously changed when it was placed in my continuing file..Actual lines were whited out!! I have the proof!! Thats part of the reason I received a favorable ruling against this terrible lawyer! My advice STAY AWAY from this person. He's useless and has cost me greatly !!

This laywer gave me nothing but excuses, excuses, excuses..."My legal clerks kid is sick" The office is understaffed then he had a conflict of interest with a party I needed him to put on notice...wouldn't admit it till I discovered it! Then promptly quit!! just when I needed him the MOST!! Then sent me a bill for 31 THOUSAND DOLLARS!! TELL a friend and stay away from IAN BRUCE !!Worst Family laywer ever!!

I am a single mother of 2 children and Mr. Bruce went behind my back and signed off my child support and back support. He told me I was getting both and have received nothing at all. Would not recommend him at all!!
