A worthless vicious individual. Her only goal is to destroy people. She has never heard of compromise nor fairness Being in the same courtroom with her makes me want to projectile vomit.

Nasty, rude, disrespectful. Treats the courtroom like it`s an episode of Law & Order and was so rude to opposing counsel and the judge it was embarassing - her behaviour is less than professional. Ended up with nothing other than a huge bill at the end. MONEY NOT WELL SPENT! Find someone else to represent you.

Need I say more. I agree with the negative comments. This feedback is from my own experience after objective analysis of the case, the judgement and the work done by her. I only wish there was a way to provide rating below zero.

Kathleen was an amazing lawyer! She is so very thorough and prepared. She was the only lawyer I hired that was able to complete the tough battle in my divorce. I can not believe some of these comments. I highly recommend her to anyone going through tough family matters. She was more than fair for billing. I am greatful for all she done to help my family and I.

Stay away at all costs. The comments by others are true. The only thing she is effective at is sending her invoice and then threatening to sue you if you challenge the bill. Delay, delay, delay. Big bills for communicating back and forth with opposing lawyer, meanwhile she hasn't prepared a damn thing and show up in court to only have her so badly humiliated she didn't even speak more than 20 words. Unprepared. Didn't even register divorce with courts properly, needed to do that post dealing with her. DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I worked with Kathleen for my child custody/maintenance and I think she was amazing. She always had good advice, answered my calls and made me feel like she cared about my case and would make things happen. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HER!

She is not on your side.. I made the mistake of trusting she cared about my situation. I thought she would defend me, as that's what lawyers do and what I was paying her for. Don't trust her. Extremely upset and disappointed.

Kathleen has been excellent. I have used her a few times for family law. She has won every time for me. She is fair and always treats me with respect. I seriously can't say enough good things about her.

Kathleen was wonderful in dealing with my separation. She was caring, communicated well, stood up for my rights (even when I was too downtrodden to do so), and very knowledgeable. She was on time, and always prepared. She is definitely a women's rights advocate. Unfortunately, wasn't able to continue on with her as she represented me in collaborative law and it broke down due to my ex being uncooperative. She found me another great lawyer, though, and I still consider her one of the best in the city. I can't believe these bad, rude reviews.

Kathleen is a terrible lawyer. She is awful at her job. All these reviews speak for themselves. All she does is try to suck money out of people. she is rude and unprofessional. a sorry excuse for a lawyer. Tried suing a single young mom after doing absolutely NOTHING for her. unorganized. I have nothing good to say about her. DO NOT GO TO HER AND WASTE YOUR VALUABLE TIME AND MONEY! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

It was a while ago, but I had the same bad experience with her. Very poor communication, useless charges, didn't seem to be on my side, was more concerned about being fair to my wife than to me. Actually scolded me for wanting to protect myself! Really got the sense that she was in the wrong profession.

OMG, it was like I wrote these comments. I have nothing good to say. I was jilted by a person of trust! Delay, delay, delay, seems to be her motive, doesn't care a bit about her client! I don't believe for a minute that she was ever on my sid! Cost me a lot of money for absolutely nothing. Lots of letters, costing me each time, without pursuing things. I guess she figures if she sends a letter someone else might look after it. Had conversations (friendly) with my ex, WOW!! Please, please, if you want good advice and someont trustworthy and on your side, DON'T USE KATHLEEN PETERSON!!

She handled my divorce. Always treated me like she had more important things to do. She sent a lot of letters that didn't seem to be needed and then charged me for them. I would guess that she probably charged me about 25% more than she should have. I never really felt that I got good advice or representation from her. Granted, it was a pretty small divorce, so maybe that's just how any lawyer would be.

Tenacity - not much at all. Communication is very poor getting back to client. Just speaking of experience. Bad experience and not professional. Found her not to be very serious, rethink prior to hiring. .

Used Kathleen in separation case. She was so unorganized and not prepared for the case that the judge didn't even get my affidavit, she didn't file it until the day before. She was to sue someone for me, sent it to the wrong person and still charged me. Sent me a huge $5000/bill and within 2 days of sending the bill sued me. If she spent as much time serving her clients needs as she does on justifying her own bill and suing her clients she could be ok. Stay away at all costs!
