Edward Rae is an excellent lawyer and cares about his clients. He focuses on getting results His briefs are well organized and succinctly presented. He is very well respected in Guelph and realistic about settlement outcomes. He works very hard for his clients to get results. I highly recommend Ed. His knowledge and experience in family law is incredibly valuable in difficult situations.

Please do not use him as a family lawyer. I suspect the one positive review here is planted as the others are fairly accurate when I think of my own situation. He dragged things out for over two years which caused damage between me and my child. We can never get that time back. He constantly showed poor communication as well. He's a real smooth talker when you're in his office, but when it's time to stand in front of a judge, he goes nowhere. Please don't let the same thing happen to you if you have children. Stay far away from him. He doesn't have you best interest in mind and will as one other person said "milk the system" while at the same time do nothing to really help you. The lawyer I had after him had things resolved in TWO WEEKS.

Listen people. Ed Rae is not only reputable in court by the judges, he is also known to have common sense and is reasonable. he knows he cant give you the world, so don't expect it.As clients, you may not like what you hear, but the fact is he has a very good idea what the end result will be if it goes to trial. He doesn't like to drag things out as there other so many other people lining up so see him. You have that wrong if you think he is milking you and trying to drag things out. thats inaccurate and you don't know the system at all if u think it all happens over night!! He wants to resolve your case so he can move on to the next. next time work on your family a little harder or be sensible and go to mediation! Lawyers only have the law and the judges do weigh in and make up their minds on what they feel needs to happen! They decide!

only thing good about this lawyer is his receptionist, he doesnt fight for what you ask for he fights for himself. very disappointing results that might have ruined a family.

Ed must have grown up on a farm as he certainly knows how to milk his clients and prolong the litigation process...to his benefit...his tenacity is strictly for his own financial gain....
