If you are reading this, don't say that you were not warned. If you hire this lawyer, be ready for a long and expensive court case. He will use every trick in the book to make you spend thousands of dollars on litigation. He is only interested in his own wallet, not helping his clients or keeping costs down. This lawyer really has no business being licenced. He is a disgrace. After being burned by him and firing him, I found a lawyer who was ethical, caring and reasonable. We eventually settled my case. But I will never forget Mr. Shulman's lies and deceit, let alone mammoth bills. I hope that this does not happen to another client.

This is the worse lawyer. He advised his staff not to receive phone calls. He charges huge legal fees and does not provide good representations. Stay away from this lawyer.

I have separated 7 years ago , since than ex wife was dealing with getting final divorce done. However her lawyer made it seem very complicated and asked for enormous amount of money to start the process. When I first met Ron he left an impression of very professional and experienced specialist that was proven father down the road. Ron and his team approached my case immediately and in a very effective way without wasting any time. And on my request to speed up the process they have done everything in their power and succeeded. I have to state that along with expertize and knowledge Ron and his team have shown resolving my case they have made it worth every penny and minute spent.i must say a special thanks to Michelle that helped in keeping communication fast and effective. When I met with Ron, I had no hope left. Every other lawyer just gave me bills leaving my matter dragging. Ron knew what to do right away. He accomplished more for me in 1 month than other lawyers in 2 years. He is a genius. Highly recommend for complicated family matters.

Warning: this lawyer took my case and promised the earth. Initially I was happy with his service, he seemed to be getting me sole custody of my child. He advised me to go to court and I lost custody and his bill was 15k plus for 4 weeks work. I later found out all he had done was cause delays and built up my bill. Any lawyer with experience would have advised settling! If I'd settled, my legal bill would have been around 2.5k and I would have had more access time with my child. DO NOT USE - THIS LAWYER ONLY CARES ABOUT MAXIMISING HIS BILL !

I Hired Ron Shulman, to help me gain full custody of my child after many years of uncomfortable living with my ex. I was hesitant to file for years because of the threats I was receiving from him. My girlfriend had Ron as her lawyer and assured me of how efficient and knowledgeable he was. I met with him to get a feel for the whole situation and to see if I wanted to pursue anything further. I decided to go with him, and even though we are still in the process of court, Ron always has my papers filed on time and is extremely particular about details that will help me win this case. I hired Mr. Shulman to assist me in regards to my divorce. He filed all the paperwork in a timely manner. Mr. Shulman was also very professional and prompt into effectively helping me with any and all my needs and questions. I can not stress enough how awesome this firms service was. My ex-wife was really vindictive. I was really apprehensive when the time comes for a divorce. Thanks to Ron Shulman, I was able to escape the farce of a marriage unscathed. He educated me on a particular law pertaining to the division of assets, and in particular " excluded property." Apparently I don't have to give any part of my assets that I received (through inheritance and gifts) during the marriage. Ron manage to convey that knowledge to me in a really understandable way. He helped me to gather my receipts and inheritance document with great efficiency. The money I spent was well worth it since I saved more after the divorce thanks to Ron.

A few months ago, I met with a Shulman representative to discuss my custody battle for my son. Not only was I surprised by how empathetic and charismatic the people I spoke with were, but I was thoroughly impressed with the amount of knowledge each representative had. I came into my initial meeting embarrassed, ashamed and struggling to figure out the next step I should be taking in this crazy process. Leaving that meeting was like a breath of fresh air as I was finally confident and reassured that I was making the right choices. I cannot stress enough how helpful Shulman was when I was at the lowest point I’ve ever been.

I first met Ron and the team at the beginning of the year to reopen a custody issue that had gone off the rails. The matter just concluded and it went exactly as I'd hoped. I owe the firm a major thank you for ensuring my access will continue to be respected. None of this comes free, of course, but I don't have any complaints on cost. Ron didn't over or under bill in my opinion and his initial estimate was very close to the final tally. Thanks again.

My case with Mr. Shulman finished up at the end of last year and we got the result we were wanted. He explained everything as the case progressed and seemed to have a good handle on which way the judge was leaning. The price was ultimately worth it. I would definitely recommend Mr. Shulman.

Ron was my lawyer last year, my matter just finished. He was easily available to speak to me, and responded to e-mails right away, even on weekends. He is very direct with his advice and handled my case exactly how I wanted. His clerk Courtney was great and helpful. I highly recommend him and his team.

NEVER HIRE THIS LAWYER/FIRM!!!! I hired r. Shulman to assist me in regards to an access issue. He did not file the paperwork on time. It took a phone call from ME before this issue was realized. NOTHING was done, in response. Of course, I was berated be the judge for not filing the paper work on time, which I had provided to Mr. Shulman at least 6 weeks previously. Mr. Shulman had no response and no rebate or refund was offered. In fact, I received an invoice a couple weeks later. The paperwork that was never filed cost me $8000.00+. I can not stress enough how terrible this firms service was.

Do not go to this lawyer. He has no interest in his clients. He will charge you for giving instructions to his staff and then his staff will charge you for receiving instructions. Then he gets back what has been done by his staff and starts working on your file himself and of course charge you again. He spends many hours on what requires just a few. He also waits until the last moment to file the documents with the court, which results in paying for urgent services of a process server.

I liked Ron's approach to my custody case. We had a very detailed discussion on what I'd like to accomplish and how best to go about it. He was very clear on what I could realistically expect as an outcome and he did everything right to make it happen. Most of my case was about getting the right documents submitted on time, and Ron never missed a deadline.

I am extremely glad that I chose Mr. Shulman to represent me during my bitter and lengthy divorce proceedings last year. Ron was very good. He provided some timely advice and accurately predicted (and defended against) my wife's lawyer's strategy for grabbing our assets. My wife was very vindictive during our divorce and I'm glad I had Ron to help me keep a roof over my head. I highly recommend him.

I hired Ron to oversee our divorce settlement and overall it was a positive experience. Ours was a pretty amicable split and Ron's advice was that we keep it that way. He filed all the paperwork on time and got back to me in a timely manner. Everything went about as smoothly as I assume a divorce can go. I didn't have the opportunity to test him out in the kind of brawl that I keep hearing about, but he seemed pretty knowledgeable and took care of a number of details I hadn't thought of.

Mr.Shulman is a young lawyer. Unfortunately, he does not have much experience in family law. I retained him as counsel for my divorce and due to his inexperience or perhaps his greed...he led me to court rather than working with a mediator and parenting coordinator. I wasted thousands of dollars and time with him. After a year of being represented by Mr. Shulman, I retained another, more experienced and honest lawyer. I believe Mr. Shulman is both greedy and inexperienced. He does not have the client's long term goals in mind. When I would ask him questions about court and my chances for success, he would not provide staight forward responses. Rather, he was wishy washy and led me astray. Do not waste your time with him. If you are involved in a messy situation...take your money elsewhere. Find an honest lawyer with decades of experience.

Shulman Law Firm did a great job representing me in a horrible messy divorce I had to endure last year. Both Ron and Rick were there for me when I thought my world fell apart. I got the access I wanted and am able to see my kids grow!They were also able to sort out my financial arrangement with my ex and now we have civil relationships, which I thought would not be possible. I am surprised to see negative reviews for Mr.Shulman. I believe that if not for him, I would never achieve desired results for me and my kids. He was very professional and handled my case with outmost care. I never had a problem getting in touch with him and if on rare occasions he was not available, his stuff were more than helpful. Shulman law firms works as a team and each and everyone of them makes sure that you are taken care of. I suggest Mr.Shulman to all of my friends and family if they are in need of AMAZING FAMILY LAWYER. Do not listen to the negative reviews. They are ****! Ron's initial meeting with me was a good talk..then he always wanted money. He would always do things in triplicate and bill you for it each time. So yes his fees added up. In my case, he estimated a $25,000 cost ( about the same as other lawyers. This somehow balloned to $46,000 by him nickle and diming me to death. When you question him, he will QUIT just before the trial/hearing date. This will prejudice your case and almost screw you with the courts. Even after he "quit" and a potential new lawyer called him for some info on my case facts, he sent me an invoice for an addtional 500 dollars for "consultation fees"...I laughed...when I refused to pay that balance he tried to ruin my good credit and sent my file to a collection agency in Bellevile,ON.Shulman is scrambling now that I have fought back..Can't wait to confront him one more time.

He talked a good game, during the constulation, then when after I paid the retainer, I received a contract with increased fees. I sent an email immediately (same day) asking for the discussed rates or my moneyback. He said we don't even need the retainer agreement and he'll refund my money but have to apply cost for "closing the file" and he was being 'reasonable' for not charging me for the phone call where I was asking for my money back. The first thing i was told would happen was a phone call with the opposing lawyer and I would be brief on when it was going to happen and what was discussed after it happened instead they "prepared" the file, did not pick up the phone to arrange a phone meeting and now I'm stuck trying to find a new lawyer.. very nice work Ron.
