Ed was my lawyer for the last 3 years in a very high conflict litigious case. Each time he represented me in court he was well prepared and very professional. In addition to being a very skilled and competent lawyer, he was kind and sensitive when difficult situations arose. Family matters involving children are always painful, but never did I feel Ed did not have my back in court and the best interests of my children. I cannot recommend Ed enough.

Ed Bowes is my lawyer, and I have found him to be efficient, helpful in explaining options and paths well. In the creation of my will, he gave good advice, and advised me to keep the will simple, keeping the costs down. He has also helped me in business matters, and I have been fully satisfied with all the help he has given me.

Ed helped me when no one else would. He is compassionate and very knowledgable. I was truly impressed with how strongly he presented my circumstances and with his courage when he would not let the judge dismiss my valid arguments.

It is important to note that Ed does not have the support of a firm or partners. he does not have an assistant or paralegal. He is a one old man gong show. I can not warn you enough to move on elsewhere. I suggest Khan Zack law firm in Richmond.

Ed was very good at sending me a big bill over a very short period of time. Without knowing anything about my case he told me it would take 2 years to resolve my family law case.He made unproffesional comments to me regarding my case.He wanted to do a business valuation himself based on little to no financial information on the family business. He is no more qualified to do a business valuation than a business valuator is qualified to be a lawyer. I fired him after a few weeks thinking he was just trying to bilk me out of as much money as possible without accomplishing anything. Do not hire this guy because you will regret it.

Unfortunately, Mr. B was not well versed in actual law which had a significant detrimental effect on my rights to child support (thus effecting my children dearly for years). He confused a judge's ruling of "not awarding child support not prejudice to further application" (based on the circumstance that no financial disclosure had been provided to the judge) as to me not being entitled to child support. So, I went for years under this incorrect advice only to find out how incredibly wrong he was. I was a near homeless single mother leaving a highly abusive situation and when my money ran out, he kicked me to the curb. Further, he was terribly disorganized leaving my file in an utter disarray for my next (legal aid) lawyer to have to piece together. He further convinced me to sign a settlement agreement when no financial disclosure had been produced reassuring me that "it can all be challenged later" -- which, if you have been through the courts enough, you know is near impossible.

She is not very familiar with family law. He never sents copies of what he did but you will receive a big bill every few days. It cost me $20,000extra to fix his mistakes...DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!!
