Was recommended to Mr. Sobel by another attorney. During the consultation he had some great suggestions and ideas. I was impressed with his knowledge. Little did I know that his suggestions in the end would cost me so much. I rarely dealt with Mr. Sobel during this divorce. I would ask very direct questions and he would answer them and then months later when I questioned him about the same concern, I would get a totally different answer. He was totally unprepared for a deposition and when I asked him why he didn't ask my soon to be ex-wife certain questions, his response was, "Saving it for court". Also my soon to be ex wife was not so soon to be. The entire process was dragged out over the course of several years because Mr. Sobel was often out of town for other cases. When my divorce was finished, I could honestly say, I wish I had my ex wife's attorney representing me. He was much better prepared.

i agree with the two previous reviews. You rarely deal with him unless you are a big money case. Your case will be handled by the associate in the firm and even then, your case is pushed aside for the big money case. So your case will take forever. Lots of phone calls and emails needed to inquire about status of your case which then adds to your bills. Poor value for what you get. Will initially promise you the world and then will eventually push you down the river without a paddle.

Unresponsive, inpersonal phony, he thinks he's MUCH smarter than he appears simply because he hires lousy assistants who don't know how to write. I can keep going, but you get the point. Don't make the same mistake I did and believe all the hype and bs that he spews out.

Very ineffective with communication, requires numerous phone calls back and forth with associates which jacks up the bills. Promises are made to get things filed and rarely done in a timely fashion. Unprepared for meetings. I would not recommend him to anyone unless you are a big money case, then I think you would get his attention to your case
