If you seek legal representation or are looking to protect yourself in the future and need documents/agreements put together I highly suggest Hustwick Payne. I have worked with many different lawyers and very few come close to the detail and effort that Rod Payne puts forth for you as a client. Rod makes sure the job doesn't just "get done" but gets done right. It's been my experience that you need someone reliable, who returns your phone calls and will prepare you/your company for any possible allegations it may face. Hustwick Payne is the law firm you want on your side, I recommend giving them a call if you need any legal help.

Worst experience ever. When requested he would not provide itemized billing, says bills on "Trust". The over view bills are done in Word perfect and illegible to read, wont open in Word. So general we were not sure what our retainer even paid for. When I questioned the bill, Mr. Payne said he only represents clients who trust him. I have never heard that before, I had a BC lawyer look at his bill and he was actually shocked at the format and lack of information provided to the client. In addition, Mailed information to wrong address 3 different times, did not contact us to verify our mailing address, then blamed us and charged us for missed dates. When I was concerned about a breach by mail and email there was no follow up, no response to questions. Last straw was having to fight with Mr. Payne for our file to be returned to us for well over 2 months. Horrible experience with him and his associates. Save your money pay for a firm who cares about you and their service.

I was referred to Rod by a friend in a nasty shareholder dispute. Rod walked me through it and I got the money for my shares. He is excellent at what he does. I can see why people on the other side of a file don't like him.

Our company has used this lawyer for more than 15 yrs. Rod is awesome. Quick turnaround, always responsive and cares only about one thing, the welfare of his client. The only people that don't like Rod are the people he faces in court.

I have been double billed numerous times by this lawyer and firm. Even after sending in accounting to prove I have paid, I am still recieving demands for payment.
