I didn't have to call many places yo find a laywer the moment I spoke with Jane I new I wanted her to be my laywer and represent me. She did everything I asked and more. I met Jane 3 years ago when I was in need of help. This total idiot gave me a preliminary assessment without even looking at my evidence, I'm reporting her to LSO for abandoning me in the middle of my case with child abuse involved from the mother who suffers from a mental illness. This woman in unqualified and should not be allowed to practice law, hire her at your own risk. If you have any issues with her, get ahold of law society of Ontario and report her asap. She does not care about you or your children.

One really could question when there are very negative reviews, then all of a sudden, glowing, positive reviews. Damage control I'll wager. Retaining this lawyer was one of the WORST experiences I have had in family law. She was judgmental, rude, horribly insensitive, and when I asked for clarification because she told me one thing to get me to retain her, then completely abandoned that plan, she fired me calling me a "mouthpiece" in writing, and turned off her fax machine, left me stranded in my matter, despite having a critical access issue that involved a baby and domestic abuse. I was forced to report her to the LSO, and she was "cautioned".

Where to start? Jane Mukongolo represented me years ago in a very contentious family court proceeding regarding custody, access and support. Throughout the proceedings, Jane was my rock. Awful experience.she is very unprofessional, she insulted me. she misguided me when she was not sure. I applied through legal aid for separation and she took my case but she didn't wanted to do her work.she didn't reply calls and make me wait for a month and then when i called her she was very angry. Just because I came through legal aid she wanted to make money by taking her time. when i requested her to finish my case asap she got angry and she refused to work for me and she canceled my legal aid because they didn't allow me to take another lawyer. I do not have work and I am not able to pay for lawyer. she gave me more anxiety and made my situation worse. Not trust able person. This is a genuine review.

Firstly she did not have to take my case, she chose to do so. She was professional throughout the process, highly insightful and very informative. I was extremely nervous starting this process but given her experience and skill her guidance was from beginning to end very comforting for me. I wasn't happy with how everything turned out she was very quite in court didn't say the things that needed to be said! Which made me change my route on how I was going to play things in court! As I had legally I feel she didn't show enough interest in caring for my case! I was told not to call her all the time because legally doesn't pay enough for her to always have to deal with my worries and I would just have to trust her! I took way less then what I should of gotten because I couldn't deal with how the other side kept lying and my lawyer did nothing to say that in court! Which would of helped my case a lot! I do not recommend this lawyer to any one at all!!!

I had a great experience with this lawyer. She respected everything I wished for and helped me achieve this in court. Her communication with me was as often as I needed since I experienced major anxiety during this time of my life. What a nightmare. Just as someone on here said they think the bad reviews are from opponents, I believe the good reviews are doctored. Good chunk of money spent. This woman does not return calls and wants to communicate solely by email. There was a distinct air of condescension and disrespect coming off this woman. She did not follow through to reasonable expectations. She seems to act like a child when she does not agree with something. She insulted me in a roundabout way. She should be reported to the Law Society. Beware.

This law firm is awful and is only in it for the money! Don't care about their client and after paying almost $5000 in legal fees, I'm still dealing with my issue today. My friend who did not pay any legal fees got what I didn't get from this law firm. I agree fully with all the poor rating this firm gets on here. I don't know why anyone on here feel this law firm deserves anything other than a poor rating! I hired a lawyer because I was first time young single parent. I wanted to have everything taken cared of in a legal way so I could live, travel, and be stress free with my child because the father is always on the run. I called the law firm recently about the matter and she refuse to help me, and haven't returned my voice mail.

The reviews here must be just slanderous by the people she is opposing (a good family lawyer is probably/unfortunately going to anger some people). I had her as a lawyer and she was generous,hard working, and everything she told me was accurate. She impressed the judge in our case and I received a better than expected order, a very fair one for my son.

Truly awful experience. This lawyer made unethical judgment calls, gross grammatical and spelling errors on pleadings and then took issue when I asked her to correct them. She made promises of what she would do to handle the abusive circumstances of my family matter and then did not follow through. She condemned me to email and did not respond back within a reasonable time frame, if at all. She insulted me in writing and dropped me as a client after advising me to provide access of our my child to my extremely abusive husband who was a flight risk. Beware this woman!!!
