Supreme Court Affirms Public Reprimand for Knoxville Attorney's Professional Misconduct

The Tennessee Supreme Court has affirmed a public reprimand for Knoxville attorney Danny C. Garland, II, based on his professional misconduct.
In 2014, the TN Board of Professional Responsibility filed a petition for discipline against Mr. Garland. The petition alleged, in part, that while handling an adoption case, Mr. Garland failed to communicate appropriately with his clients, failed to exercise reasonable diligence in his representation, and committed professional misconduct. A hearing panel found that Mr. Garland had violated the Rules of Professional Conduct and recommended that he be publicly reprimanded.

I don't know why someone rated this lawyer so poorly. This is the best lawyer I've ever consulted!! He returns calls almost immediately, and within two hours of our first meeting had my petition signed by a judge. He is very knowledgeable, aggressive, and tenacious.

A ripp off lawyer. Takes your money and you don't get anything for it. They take forever to even return a phone call. Do not give refunds, do not represent you in all things and take forever to tell you "Oh, I don't do that" (It took him 21/2 years to tell me I would need another lawyer for a QURDO in my divorce case! They don't even answer registered mail!! They also, do not give you an account of your expenses on the money YOU paid. Not a good lawyer in my opinion.
