Mr. Benmor is an exceptional lawyer. He helped me navigate a very difficult and contentious separation. He and his team have everything you could ask for from a family lawyer. The only downside to having a team like his is the cost. His years of experience and knowledge command a higher hourly rate than some other lawyers. But, with so much at stake, it was money well spent. There is no question that he knows what he is doing and can provide you with the guidance that you need.

Couple of years ago my 27-year marriage was crumbling. Divorce fight over financial settlement that lied ahead was tough. Couple of properties and business were involved. Prior to speaking to Benmor and his team, I have been through several lawyers who really did not really represent my interest despite paying over almost $25,000 in legal fees over 3 years during my high conflict divorce.BFLG were able to put an end to the constant delay games of the opposing counsel that I had to endure for 3 years. I was referred to Mr. Benmor for a highly contested separation from my ex involving my two young children. I read his reviews and was impressed by the comments. I wish this rating scale went beyond good because Steven Benmor and his team are stellar! I ended a common law relationship and was being sued for spousal support and half of my home and pension. Steven was my second lawyer, after having a first that was experienced but not moving my file along. His clerk and office staff are amazing and work hard to ensure that costs are held reasonable. Steve is a specialist and gives you realistic expectations. He is tenacious and if your divorce is high conflict- you want him.

Steven and his staff have done a wonderful job for me so far. To be honest, it was a long painful process in the beginning but Steven's Law clerk, Marigona, was extremely helpful in keeping me calm and helping me break my tasks down into manageable projects. Steven was honest from the beginning and didn’t promise me anything I didn’t deserve. He was also honest about the his rates and gave me the opportunity to use his very knowledgable staff to help keep cost down. We aren’t out of the woods yet but he was able to get me what I wanted most ( a lot more time with my kids) in a reasonable amount of time. Steven is an excellent lawyer- and to his credit so is his law clerk Cris. BFLG is my second set of lawyers I've had. I chose them for their ability to handle a high conflict case and my daughters very young age. While Steve's rates are high- in family law you get what you pay for- experience. He has done more to move my case along with less money than my previous lawyer. He actually has a game plan and doesn't just respond to the other side.

I had the pleasure of having Mr. Benmor as my lawyer for several years during an acrimonious divorce and custody battle. My case spanned two provinces and was far from simple. He was very upfront and clear about his terms and fees. He explained my options in all scenarios and was excellent at answering my questions. I come from modest means, and I found Mr. Benmor's rates competitive with other lawyers with similar experience. It was money well invested. Legal fees are expensive, and Mr. Benmor did what he could to help me settle out of court, but ultimately my case went to trial. His clerks were knowledgeable and helpful. They were prompt in getting back to me and I never felt they wasted my time. There was a lot of paperwork and court dates, but this was expected, and Mr. Benmor did what he could to help me during a difficult and stressful experience. Mr. Benmor and his team are exceptional family law practitioners. Mr. Benmor is incredibly knowledgeable and was always highly prepared, and he was instrumental in getting me through a very difficult divorce. Steve is tenacious in pursuing the best for his client but "fights" in the right way, trying to keep things civil, focused on the facts and moving forward. In my case, the opposing counsel tried to create acrimony and to drag the process out, but Steve was able to keep things on track. In terms of cost, like everyone I know who goes through a divorce, there is a little surprise at how expensive they are, but I found Steve's fees reasonable, particularly given the quality of work he consistently produced. Steve did his best to minimize costs without sacrificing in the process. For me it all comes down to the question of would I refer a friend, in Steve's case I would, and I have, twice. Steve is an exceptional lawyer in a difficult area of practice.

I believe many of the post here are from the ex-spouses of Mr Benmor, not his clients themselves. Mr Benmor compassionately and competently defended my family against an attack from my ex-spouse when she tried to paint me an unfit father. His actions were child-focused, and he was responsive to my input and requests. I felt well-advised and well-defended, and he kept my family intact without stooping to sling mud at the my ex-wife in the process. I recommend him if you need someone who knows the law and has a heart.

Choosing a lawyer at a difficult time is a hard task.We picked Steven Benmor because we he appeared to be an accomplished family lawyer.He and his useless team wasted a large amount of time doing who knows what.After three months they finally had papers to file with the court,we were so excited the process was going to start!But oh no!They reported back to us that they filled out the wrong paper work not once but 3 times.After that we did not feel that if the correct paperwork was finally filed would they be able to do anything right for us.What a waste of $6000.At the end if I knew how to sue a lawyer I would!No other business would be able to charge what he did for their errors.When we hired another lawyer we handed the paperwork over.The new lawyer said it was all done wrong and was useless.I would suggest finding any other lawyer & if this is your only choice just try doing it yourself you will probably get further along in your case faster!

He "represented" me while showing up to court unprepared and billing me thousands of dollars for work supposedly done. While working on my case he waited until the last minute and would raise his voice at me if and when I challenged him. I would not recommned Mr. Benmor as I found he did not speak the truth.

Other than getting me custody of my son he DID NOT listen to my needs. My son's father got way more than he deserved and Steven seemed not to care at all!
