This woman has become a Judge. She was a horrible lawyer. Corrupt and biased to females and mothers. She was involved in case where it left our family member in ruins after the other spouse committed criminal actions, kidnapping, and lawful confinement of a child. Yet the second spouse was told by this lawyer to "suck it up" ! Unethical and disgraceful set of values for a lawyer....and now a Judge. Illustrates clear values of the Law Society and Court selection committee. Do not use this lawyer or judge if you can avoid it !

Do not use this lawyer. She is insensitive to the needs of the client and treated the opposing party with inhumane words and actions. I wanted a civilized settlement and treatment for my spouse and this lawyer was a joke to deal with my ex. She then left the handling of my case, as unresolved, and withdrew her service after the oposing party filed a complaint with the Law Society !

Debbie handled a family law matter for myself where the circumstances were truly unique. Her knowledge and attention to detail were exceptional, her manner and professionalism were far above any expectations I had, and I've worked in the family law area for 14 years. She is an amazing woman, determined lawyer and I would highly recommend her to anyone.

This lawyer handled a criminal family law case where she circumvented the matrimonial property act, provided prejudiced advice which was wrongful and defamatory against the opposing party, and then ignored the consequences and hid behind various rules of the court which prevented her accountability within an investigation (after the fact) for her wrongful actions. Such ethics are a detriment to the legal field.

This Lawyer is incredibly biased. She speaks to opposing counsel about matters in which she has no expertise and which are highly inflammatory. She tends to get too closely aligned with her clients which leads to errors in judgment. She, like many family lawyers, is too busy and does not deal with things in a timely manner. There are so many other, competent, fair minded and time efficient family lawyers I do not know why anyone would use her services.

I am still in process but I find her to be extremely knowledgeable in all facets of law but most especially family law. She is a "full service" lawyer dealing with the not always pleasant parts of divorce with guidance of what is best for you longterm while you are still going through a gamut of emotions. I found her to be very compassionate and genuinely caring going further than just providing counsel. Any comments to the contrary would be... well PREPOSTEROUS.
