While I don’t doubt his overall knowledge in family law, in my experience he was not only neglectful, seemed to be representing and “tipping off” the other party, over bills without explanation, refuses to provide actual advice, is happy to go to trial, does not act in a clients best interest, lacks diplomacy (raises his voice, demands unwarranted respect, can’t keep his cool while frustrated/contested, etc) and overall was so bad at defending his client to the point of life threatening financial distress. Time to retire! I’m sure he’s made enough money ruining lives and bankrupting families.

Does not communicate fees prior to initial consultation. Is also extremely rude and judgmental, has no filter. Used the word "****" a number of times, when describing how men might speak about their wives during separation. Overall, he is an example of everything that is wrong with old white men occupying positions of power. Charges by the hour and then drones on and on, enjoying the sound of his own voice and leaving very little space for the potential client to ask questions and get what answers they came for. I interrupted a number of times, trying to share that I wasn't at all concerned about the subject area he was spending tons of time on, yet her circled back to it in great detail unnecessarily and at my expense. He's belligerent and should consider retirement.

Mr. Clayton should retire. Hes made a career out of being abrasive and oppositional without reason or truth. Loves to go to trial and most cases of his go to trial by his own admission. Will refuse all reasonable offers just to drive the case to trial to make more money off his clients. If you want to spend lots of money on a misanthrope who doesnt care if he wins or loses in trial go ahead hes your guy. if you care about your case and your wallet stay away. this guy honestly doesnt care about anyone

Mr. Clayton is fierce and fearless. There is no better representative for a trial. He 'was late joining in on my case' but accomplished much in little time. He is gruff but notably insightful, almost eerily? Lerners has an absolutely brilliant team and anyone from their Family Law Team, I would VERY highly recommend.

I wouldn't have this lawyer represent my dog. He uses language above and beyond in fact not sure if its even english. He is like talking to a wall. Didn't fight at all for me cost me a fortune. Went to new lawyer and the advice I got from her was he didn't even follow protocol, said this guy should be reported to the society This guy worked ass backwards. If you want the run around, no answers to your questions and poor communication he is your man!!

Mr. Clayton is a master at twisting facts and misleading the court to the limit while staying just inside the boundary of intelectual dishonesty. At times it's hard to tell if his twisted facts are from his unpreparedness or if it is on purpose. If you rate lawyers based on how far they will go to stretch the truth, take it from me, I've had many lawyers and Bill is the best in this department. The sad thing is that this could be the highest rating a lawyer can get. A sad state of affairs.

I live in a community 1 hr away from London (Sarnia) Clayton was well worth the mileage charge and he went out of his way to book several cases at once so you could split the mileage charge. In this town' the lawyers are crap and drag out family law for 5 years. I was done in 2. Expensive but worth it! He made no crazy promises and fought the good fight without playing dirty. Good Choice if your ex has Mcfadyen.

Extremely expensive and uninvolved with my file until the end. he didn't seem to know what was going on with the file and he was hard to reach or get a response from
