DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER. His rates are $500/hr. His initial consultation was $1000, an hour to review the material and 1 hour consultation. We gave him the $1000 but he did not review anything prior to the consultation, we had to go over all the details during the meeting. We hired him, he couldn't keep the facts straight, asked the same questions over and over. Would commit to sending opposing counsel offers, letters etc. He would miss deadlines. would not return phone calls and emails. Save your money and find yourself a professional lawyer, not a money grabbing fraud.

Do not waste your money. Garry is one of most arrogant and condensing people I have ever met. Garry has zero empathy - he made derogatory comments to me as I became a little upset and teary eyed, he has zero people skills and he really attempted to make me me feel stupid. I went to him for legal advice because I do not know the law. I didn't pay $500/hour feel stupid or lesser or a person for coming to you for an expert legal opinion. I really believe I left that meeting more confused than I was before coming into that meeting. Thanks for nothing Garry and for wasting over $1000 of the little money I have.

This lawyer was extremely unethical and unprofessional. His conduct was poor, he was unprepared for court and he was unreliable. He was only looking to make money. I am still years later suffering greatly emotionally and financially from the effects of this man.

Unfortunately I was not doing well with my health and as a result, left my life in the trusting hands of Gary. My mistake. He raked me over the coals at a time that I could barely think for myself. Sold my house to pay him after 5 years of deliberation when the matter should have been settled years prior. As my health got better, I took over my own case, wrote all my own affidavits (he told me I should go to school as I was that good)and yet it still cost me the same amount of money (as if he had done the work himself). I went to court again, this time without Gary but rather, by myself and self represented. I won my case in just over an hour in court. Gary would have taken 2 years for the same result. Highly disappointed in his work. I am uneducated in the field of law, but hire me before you hire him! My rates are reasonable to my education. Cannot say the same for Gary Thomas.

If it were possible to give all zeros, that is what I would rate this lawyer. Avoid this guy at all costs. The only thing he is truly interested in is draining your bank account. While he says he has a lot of experience with complex cases, but if you look at his track record in court for even the more simple ones, he has a losing record - check with the registrar. He will often put "courtesy discounts" into your bill to make it seem like he is giving you a break, but this is just lipstick on a pig. He will bill you for more hours because he is inefficient, a horrible note-taker, and often has to get information from you more than once (which he will also bill you for). His firm is completely disorganized and has a high turnover rate for staff. They also practices gouging for ancillary services such as photocopies and transcription at 1000% markup. If you are a client of this person, you should regularly check your bill for errors and question the charges.

I should have followed my own instinct rather than assumed that this lawyer was competent and knew what he was doing. I would have had a less-expensive outcome, with the same result, if I had not followed his advice. When I questioned him on matters that did not sound right to me, he assured me that he was right, and my assumption that he knew the law led to my downfall. Cannot blame him for my choice to follow his advice. But I hope that others are able to avoid the same pitfalls. Best result you can expect from this man is for you to fund his office and help set him up for financial comfort in his retirement years. I feel there are better, more honest charities that a person can contribute to (and ones that provide a receipt for tax-deduction!)

He lied to me, falsified documents, led me on without doing the work, did not return calls or emails, did not provide me ongoing billing but then sent me a bill for close to $200,000. Garry was very disorganized, often losing files and documents. He has a very bad temper. He, in my opinion, lacks a conscience when it comes to honesty. When confronted he either became extremely angry or blamed his secretary for mistakes. He does not seem to know what he should about the law and he billed me for his time to learn about it. He also billed me for his mistakes and any time I spent waiting for him in the waiting room. I would not recommend this man for anything, especially a man who is supposed to represent and uphold the law. In the end he lost my case and I paid for it, and am still paying for it.

Gary Thomas is only out to line his own pockets. He does not represent the customer and only represent himself $$$. He does what is best for his position in order to make more money from you. Very rude and will take, take, take. This guy has no integrity and shouldn't be a layer. Bad communication. Worst experience every.

I fired my previous lawyer and hired Garry. Very happy that I made that decision. Garry settled my case out of court and in my favour and saved me a lot of money.

I have used Gary Thomas for 2 different cases and I was very satisfied with his level of knowledge and guidance in both matters. Although pricey, he was worth every penny. I got what I paid for and will refer him to friends.

This lawyer is arrogant, rude and doesn't listen to you. His fees are outrageous and he drags things on forever. My experience with him was awful...he has no integrity and only seems to care about getting as much money out of you as he can. My life and my children's life will be forever difficult because of the fees he charged me. My advice to you is to RUN from this lawyer! He is the worst out there!

He drag my case forever, convince me to keep going , because i will receive money. In the end i pay himself with all the money i received , living me and my daughter in really hard ship.He as no integrity and he is not there for you but for the money he will receive. He is knowledge and aggressive but he totally over charge and surprise you with bill over bill.

This lawyer is way overcharging and finding ways of adding on your bill never remembers nothing you tell about your file. Does what he wants without your advice does not follow your instruction. And his rate are excessive for his expertise ( He is no good at what he does) If you are looking to be taken to the cleaners with no good outcome and have your case drag out for years with nothing but bad legal advise then he is your man. He will not communicate anything to you except only when ask and even then it hard to get a answer from him, it's like he will do anything to make more money off you. I advice averyone to stay away from Quay Law Center as we really got burned from this Firm. They are the worst Law Firm for screwing thing up to make more money and we dealt with a lot of Law firm and I must say this is by far the worst we ever encounter in our life. And I must add very rude when you try to talk about matters to do with your file. My Advice to you people out there is stay away!!!
