Coming back after a couple of years to update. Since my initial review (6/15/11) I have been back to see Leah twice. In both cases, circumstances with my ex have given need to modify the original divorce decree. In both cases Leah picked up right where we left off and quickly and efficiently helped me address the issues. Quite honestly, my child and I are in a better situation today than we were after the initial divorce because of this. I’m still glad I chose Leah to handle my divorce and it’s good to know that when I have additional issues she’s still there to protect my interests.

Leah went above and beyond while working on my case. She did great in researching case law to back up her arguments and was always completely prepared. I have and will recommend her to friends and family. Her knowledge and work quality I would actually rate off this chart!! She was excellent! We even got published! I referred my father to her when he needed an excellent attorney as well. She took good care of him too. Thanks to Grunyk and Associates for all the help and support they gave me in a very difficult time!

Leah is an amazing lawyer! I had a very difficult custody case in which my ex already had residential of my child for two years. Opposing councel was very hostile and she maintained composure. Working with my ex is not a easy task either. We had a long difficult trial which resulted highly in my favor, although my ex was still awarded sole custody. I was devistated. Leah filed for a reconsideration and we were given a hearing by the judge. After the hearing all the evidence provided was given proper weight and testimony from the galhad been heard. The judge reversed his ruling and awarded me with sole custody of my child. A reconsideration is rarely ever given a hearing, yet even more rare does it result in a judgement being reversed! What seemed to be impossible became possible thanks to the knowledge and dedication Leah Setzen put into my case. The firms fees may seem high but you get what you pay for and she is worth every cent! I could not be more satisfied with the help she gave

Leah is unprofessional. She gave me false hope and wasted time and money. She prefers clients who pay extra above her already high charges. She can be stubborn and abrupt at times. I would not recommend this misleading attorney.

I looked forward for my visits(odd).
Amid the drama, fear and stress during the process,Leah is there to give me right legal advice, comfort and confidence.
Yes, she's my divorce lawyer not my psychologist.
She explained the pros & cons of the situations, "guided" me into picking right fights and making better decisions for me and my children.

I was in the middle of defending a removal case where my ex-wife wanted to take my daughter and move her over a thousand miles away. I felt that I did not stand a chance because my previous attorney was just not in touch with the case. That was before I fired my old attorney and hired Leah. Leah understood my position and she turned the tables on my case by effectively communicating what my previous attorney couldn't. Leah was always ready to answer questions and give her reliable opinions on where a case may or may not go. She is excellent at communication and always explained next steps. I felt comfortable asking questions no matter how "dumb" I perceived them. She gets input from other attorneys in the office which helps the case. Her demeanor in the courtroom is very professional. She retorted the opposing counsels points with pertinent previous case law. Leah does her homework.

I really needed an attorney that could understand my situation, help me come up with several possible solutions, and then help me see the whole process through, fine tuning it as we went. Leah was that attorney. She listened, she advised, she worked with me, and above all she always protected my best interests. Throughout the process she was clear, professional, and on top of the situation. I did a lot of looking around for the right attorney in my divorce case. My primary motive was truly to find an outstanding woman who would understand what was at stake here and offer the professionalism of her field, the compassion of a woman but also a good knowledgeable fight. Leah Setzen fit that bill to a T. Leah was a great listener. She was intuitive and empathetic but also firm and to the point. If she didn’t have the answer to a question she would get back to me within that day. The entire staff was great. They made a very difficult life situation much more tolerable. Divorce is never fun, but Leah did a wonderful job of making me feel that everything was under control. Leah explained things clearly, communicated regularly, and made sure I felt at ease every step of the way. Leah, as one expects from one's lawyer, was well versed in what arguments we could or couldn't make. But what distinguishes her from far too many of her peers in the field was her willingness to make clear when winning a particular point was unlikely to be worth the fees she would have had to charge to pursue it. Leah demonstrated excellent judgment in picking our battles -- leaving me, at the end, with a settlement I am very happy with at a cost that is a small fraction of what I've seen friends pay even for much simpler divorces. As an attorney myself, I was especially impressed by Leah's billing. The entries clearly explained the work performed and demonstrated efficient use of time.
