Waited a few years to post due to custody issues. This "lawyer" claims to be a family guy. Maybe he is out for his family but he did a very bad job with mine. He lacks knowledge, he tries to blow you away with letters and court cases and he basically makes no sense in what he does to support his case. Think again before hiring him.

I found Patrick very knowledgable of the definite do's and don't. He holds the interests of the children foremost. I found him creative in getting to solutions which would be amicable to both parents and advantageous to the children. I was impressed with the timeline with which documents were prepared/modified as well as the errors/omissions he picked up from the other legal team.

I hired Patrick Leamy and was very disappointed in his knowledge, communication, work quality and value. The only good thing I have to say is that he is very professional (which all lawyers are required to be) and can be compassionate. Be aware of the amount of retainer you give him because if you decide to "fire" him good luck at getting your money back. He will expect you to show him in writing where the error occurred which I did and to this date, he still has not returned the money owing to me. Very disappointed in his knowledge on a variety of issues as I am not a lawyer and I taught him things that I have learned from other lawyers. You can send him several emails and make several phone calls however he still does not return them as he takes on more work than he can actually get done. My advice - do not hire him! You will regret it. Very bad experience and wish I had never hired him.

I was really impressed with how Mr. Leamy handled himself in court. He did not miss a thing, was not misled by the drama between the parties and was tenacious in pursuing the desired outcome. As there was a child involved, the goal was to achieve an outcome that was in the best interests of the child and that was accomplished. He brought a rational perspective to a messy situation which created a calm and confident environment for us. His rates were reasonable compared to other lawyers and he did an excellent job. I found him to be down to earth, honest and basically a good person. I would recommend him to others without question.

Patrick was a great person helping me with my divorce and custody case but then I noticed he talks a lot and does not deliver the results. He is very bad in communication and the most conservative person I have ever met!

Patrick was a great lawyer at first, helping me with my divorce and custody case but towards the middle of proceedings and as court dates came closer his communication was awful. I did not hear back from him or his office in 5 days and was forced to hire new consel to ensure I was prepared. I was also disappointed to find out upon review of my file that there were errors in his paperwork.

Patrick Leamy talks a lot but does not deliver the results. I had him last year. He keept on changing the story about what he could accomplish and charging money every time. Not good in Court. Very confusing and I can't believe that so many people on here all chose to rate him highly all at the same time. Would be better if he paid more attention to his work instead of talking about his family.

Horrible lawyer. Problems with billing. Late applications and very poor advice on a custody issue. Very dishonest. Made promises but did not deliver. Could have done a lot better for a lot less.

I have found Patrick Leamy to be a very intelligent, Kind and COMPASIONATE lawyer. This is sometimes a rarity in this profession. I have had quite the emotional journey with my case and Patrick is ALWAYS Calm, open minded and Compasionate. His knowledge of divorce and Family law is outstanding. Patrick did both of our real estate deals and he did an amazing job. There were a lot of issues with respect to outstanding repairs to the home that we purchased and Patrick went above and beyond working with the lawyer on the other side to bring both parties to a mutual and satisfactory agreement. I know that Patrick spent countless extra hours on our file sorting out all of the intricate details and he did all of this in a very professional manner. It was a stressful time for us, however, I found that Patrick always remained calm and confident and consistently assured us that everything would work out in the end which, of course, it did. We appreciated working with Patrick and his staff and would highly recommend him as a very down to earth, caring, capable lawyer.
