just plain bad. does not respond to emails or calls. we have him for a family matter and he kept saying yes, yes, yes... in the end he did virtually nothing for us.... save your money and patience...find another lawyer

I had two closing with this lawyer one sold condo and one purchased house he did grate job for me and I can really say in compare to all those lawyers I knew before he had the best best fee for two closing. It took me few weeks to get my final statements for both closings but everything was done perfectly and with good attention. I will defiantly work with him again if I have any real state related cases. Thanks Mr. Grant.

I only dealt with him once, and I do not want to deal with him again or recommend anyone to. I have deal with other lawyers before. Compare to my past experience, Don doesn't seem to know what he is doing, and does not have good patient at all. He even said something to me very much sound like a threat. I was shocked to hear that come from someone who claims himself to be a lawyer. I am debating if I should report him to the law society. Bottom line, if you want your money well spent, please find someone else!

Constantly avoids communication. Extreme delays in moving my file forward, let alone get any results. Even though he has been a lawyer for a long time, he is not up to date with current events and seems to not know what to do without his assistant. My advice is that if you are going to pay that kind of hourly rate, get a lawyer that actual knows what he is doing. My new lawyer informed me that Grant & Dawn does not have a good reputation in the legal community.

I have used Don for a number of transactions and have always found him to be prepared and willing to meet me at any time that is convenirent for me to sign documents.His fees have always been in line with others and I like that he takes the time to explain everything to me. Also, he goes out of his way to make sure that when discharging an old mortgage, it is paid off on a Friday so that I don't have to carry the costs over a weekend.

I completely disagree with the previous review. I recently hired Mr Grant. I found him to be readily available. He demonstrated a good knowledge-base of the law and a great sense of humour. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a kind, honest and smart lawyer.

He is not available. He does not reply to our emails. When his assistant was on holiday he didn't seem to know what to do. He gives you a 600 CAD quote for the fee + approx 200 disbursments and he sends you a 650 fee and 280 disbursments. There is a credit to the buyer of 390 CAD and he didn't include it in the calculation. ( he pays the other lawyer more ). I specified that I don't want title insurance and he doesn't pay attention and he gets me one. I have no words to describe how unsatisfied I am with his services.
