I have previous experience with Martin’s father, Harvey. My family has used the Pollock and Company firm many times in the past. This was my first encounter with Martin. He got back to me promptly, listened diligently to my issue, and gave me some very good advice! Martin is very knowledgeable and in my opinion, best in the business. But I’m not surprised, his father was the best and now his son is! I would recommend Martin to anyone who wants nothing but the best lawyer on their side!

Martin Pollock went above and beyond to help myself and my mother after the previous owners of my house left us out in the cold. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for Martin and his team for helping me get heat in my house and making sure the previous owners paid for what was done wrong. I can tell that Martin has a passion with helping people and making sure they are taken care of properly. Pollock and Company are the reason I won't freeze this winter! I spoke to Marty in regards to my Aunt's sudden death and the potential for suing the pharmacy for negligence. Although, I already had an idea of what the outcomes may be, he was able to provide me with further clarity regarding the costs and evidence required, as well as potential compensation of a successful outcome. He was able to quickly put the pros and cons of the situation for me in prospective. He was very pleasant and easy to talk to and listened intently without trying to get me off the phone, even though he was speaking to me out of goodwill(meaning he didn't try to charge me for our conversation over the phone). He also wasn't trying to get me to come in so he could charge me for seeing him (which I have experienced in the past by another lawyer) since he knew that in my case it wasn't going to be necessary. Great experience and a good man.

Marty is a good man but if it comes to trial, he will 'throw you under the bus' to save a 'learned friend' that was the lawyer that should have done the work properly in the first place. I was 'breached' by not (1) but (2) lawyers previously. He was more than willing to sue separation lawyer # 1..but when it came to divorce lawyer #2 (his learned friend) whom the judge would have learnt also breached me he chose to beat the emotional hell out of me in an empty courtroom in order to break me into 'acceptance' of a 'mere fraction' of what I was rightfully entitled to. Left me in elderly age with serious medical issues and in dire poverty. A 'Book' need to be written. Just as the book: Swarm Before Me was written on the Rosa Becker case by a lawyer in Toronto. When he lost Mr. Olson I should have known: I lost my case. Mr. Olson was his rational/calming force.

I contacted Martin to represent me in a case. I had an excellent consultation with him, he was very knowledgable and gave me excellent advise. I sent him some information and to my surprise I received a letter stating my charges were dropped. I contacted Martin and he was happy for me and did not charge me at all. I could not believe it! He understood quickly what our complicated situation was and responded with our options. He explained at the first meeting that it wasn't a given that we could win. He diligently collected the evidence and thoroughly examined it and met with us to let us know that we did not meet the criteria he had explained to us that was necessary to go forward. He was very clear, honest and straightforward. He never acted self important or in a hurry to end our questions. In fact the opposite was true. He spoke to me in a very kind, way, that is to say compassionately as a human, feeling being. I called Martin Pollock as a result of an accident, not knowing whether I had a case. Mr. Pollock was very patient and accommodating during this initial conversation and during my subsequent visits to his office, I found him to be knowledgeable, friendly and caring. He spoke in a manner which allowed me to fully understand all aspects of my case and was completely honest throughout all my dealings with him. As well he made me known to his staff as a client, whereby whenever I called his office or came in for an appointment, I felt as though I was his one and only client. Even though my case was not of major significance in terms of money, Mr. Pollock treated it as though it was a million dollar case. I called Martin in September and described my situation to him and I could tell instantly he was passionate about my case. I knew this would not be a normal case for him, small potatoes in the scheme of things but I knew from what I had heard in the news that he and his father got the job done. And that is exactly what he did before, during and after we went to court. I would also like to say that any time I went to the office I never waited more than a few minutes before someone would look into the waiting room to see if I was looked after. It didn’t matter who greeted me, they were always genuine. I also liked that Martin made sure to introduce me to everyone that was working with him on my case. The whole time he made sure to let me know he had it under control, that I was feeling comfortable all the way through it, to the very end…which was, yes, a winning end.

Mr. Pollock is a horrible lawyer who has no time to talk to you or even take on your case if it is not worth alot of money! Mr. Pollock only chooses his cases based on the money that maybe awarded he does not take cases if they are worth little money e.g. $250,000. He is a cold fish with no human emotions.

I had to fire Martin due to his legal sidekick Derek Olson. Martin wrote up a brilliant statement of claim and I eventually settled to my favour through another lawyer. Only had to switch because of Mr. Olson, if Martin had the time for my case I would have stayed as he is the most brilliant lawyer.
