I contacted Janice after working with other lawyers that I was not really satisfied with. She jumped right in and got things done - she is fast, efficient, a good listener and acts on your requests. She tells you like it is, if it can't be done or will be costly she is honest and advises of such. I was 100% satisfied with her work and she charged a fair price. Janice is freaking awesome!I'd have ended up with nothing from my mama's estate without her. She is worth every cent of her fee. She told me straight up she doesn't do free consultations & she requires a retainer. No b.s., very knowledgeable about the law, not afraid to sue or confront anybody. She dealt with my totally viscous, lying, crazy siblings & their draw it out, ignorant atty with no problem.She kept me constantly informed & returns calls & emails very quickly. If you need an honest, dependable atty that won't screw you, drag things out & tells you upfront yes, no or if you fight it will cost a fortune & take years then you need Janice. I came to Janice with no knowledge about settling an estate. She did a fantastic job! She answered questions that I did not even know how to ask. She was thoughtful, knowledgeable and thorough. She did not just sit in her office and give directions, she came with me when I had to sell a piece of property, take original stock certificates to the bank etc. She is the very best. Appeared to be somewhat knowledgeable but not UPFRONT about her billing policies and fees until AFTER she had charged for the "preliminary" meeting. Bring a check book and be prepared for an upfront five figure retainer.

Very pleasant, but lazy. Slow to respond to questions. Stingy with advice. Seems unwilling to do much to help. Good luck if you hire her.
