In my opinion, Ann Stoner is a total 'train wreck'!! Prayer your ex hires her and you'll be golden. I see she has one(1) 5/5 rating...it must have been her mother that submitted the rating. You hire a family lawyer at your most vulnerable time in your life and rely on them to do the best for you and your children. In my opinion, if Ann 'smells money', you are dead in the water. She will drag it on with no regard for you or what it will do to your children. I believe she has no compassion, empathy or moral compass. Run, do not walk to another lawyer who will try to do the right thing by your family and try to wrap it up asap. Why do I get the feeling that once I submit this rating, 'someone' will submit a very positive rating will follow mine?!?!?

I had an excellent experience with Ann and her associates. They were informative, helpful and were always willing to answer any questions or concerns I had. I enjoyed that Ann and her whole team worked together to help me, their client, in resolving my situation. Anytime I would have a meeting in the office or outside of the office, due to Covid protocols, it was always a comfortable environment and all were very welcoming. Overall my whole experience was amazing. I am glad to have chosen Ann and her team to represent me and their assist with resolving my dilemma. As always thank you again to Ann and all the associates who helped with my case.

My ex retained Ann Stoner and because of that I had a favourable outcome. Ann’s reputation of dragging out a file to bleed her clients of money is 100% true. If your ex retains Ann Stoner be prepared for a long battle. Ann will send a bunch of threatening letters but is all bark and no bite. My suggestion on how to deal with Ann Stoner is to retain a cheaper associate lawyer who will not drain your account because Ann Stoner will drain her clients bank account. Ann is considered “old school” where she will threaten trail to try and intimidate but will end up settling before a case will go to trail. Do not make the mistake of being intimidated by Ann Stoner.

Ann Stoner comes across as a kind, caring, and knowledgeable lawyer who has your interest in mind. However after you hand her your hard earned money she will leave the real work to her staff to handle and she quickly takes a look. Its always 5 steps back in a meeting to go forward again costing time and money. Ann is very good at billing. Her staff will bill you into the ground and bill every possible thing they can. when your money runs out ann is done helping till the bank is refilled. In my case she convinced me that what was being offered in a final order was good and would work out. Reality is Ann was wrong and left me in a vulnerable position that is virtually impossible to escape. Other lawyers are in awww of how Ann though the order was a good fair order that would work well for me her client. Now knowing what I know she left me completely screwed and I've spend months trying to dig my way out of what she put me into. When I asked her to clarify she ignored me completely.

A strong, determined, assertive lawyer who helped with my family separation. She is very powerful. If you want a fighter then hire Ms. Stoner. She has years of court experience. A dignified woman.

Competent. Efficient. Fair. Ethical. She works hard, and she and her staff helped me to maintain my sense of courage through a very difficult time. I see nothing but professionalism in her office, and I highly recommend her services. Her fee is high, but she never wastes time. She helps clients maintain realistic expectations, and has a sense of humour - which is necessary in this field!!

We have to remember that we are not rating the outcome, but the lawyer. In my case Ann has been extremely professional along with her staff. Incredibly knowledgeable and always looking out for my best interests. She has not only fought for the best and fair settlement for me, but also has taken a personal interest in my well being and safety. Not many lawyers give it such a personal touch. You will not find a better lawyer in the area.

Ann was amazing for me!! The comments below are just not true, i dont believe them at all. This was a very hard, difficult time for me and staff was also so appropriate and really truly unbelievable. was the hardest thing of my life and it was handled perfectly here. lawyers and staff are awesome if you're going through similar time you have to go here first.

Office envrionemnt is absolutely terrible. Makes me uncomfortable and worry about the quality of the service. There are people walking around in sweatpants meanwhile we are paying over $500 an hour. Ridiculous and completely unprofessional. Have even seen them shopping online and heard the office workers gossiping about clients before they are so unprofessional. Don't go here unless you're okay with people making jokes about intimate details of your personal life.

Catherine Haber, my wifes lawyer completely schooled her, house paintings and unknown to me until the kids got older the money we had put in a trust account from the old days of baby bonuses before we had money, also the Can Savings Bonds, she never asked about??? and my CPP but not hers, taken out completly!!!

Ann Stoner is the best lawyer in Burlington. She and her staff work tirelessly to assist clients going through very difficult times. Yes its expensive but you get what you pay for -good lawyers aren't cheap and cheap lawyers aren't good! I was referred to Ann by a previous client and am lucky I found her. Ann knows the law and is always a step ahead.

Strategic in thinking. Compassionate. Makes certain that clients and parents are always putting kids first. Is adept at managing difficult and complex cases. Fees are high but worth it and clients are advised how to manage them properly. Professional, dedicated and loyal staff.

Settlement offered by the other side was significantly less than her accumulated legal fees, and she strongly recommended taking it! Seems to like adversarial style but if pushed back upon,doesn't put up a fight. Bails out when fee money runs short. Client doesn't 'participate' with her, but is to take her orders. Written work is poor. Not recommended.
