Terrible lawyer very rude treated me like a door matt, ordered me to pick up the pen twice. Forgot to stamp my notary. Needed 2 witnesses he threw pen down said go next door. If I New any of this before I would never have chose him. He closed our house 6 yrs ago didn’t like him then really don’t like him now, will never step foot in his office again. We were a current client and still charged me 40.00 for his signature, telly is he that desperate!!!

This man is honestly a bulldog against the corruption of family court and especially CAS cases. He will work tirelessly to make sure that you are reunited with your children. Just make sure you are also doing what you need to do and he will do the rest.

BRUTAL! We chose this lawyer to close the deal on the sale of our first house and it was an absolute nightmare, to say the least. The lack of communication, and the fact that two months wasn't enough time to complete the paperwork, is ridiculous. Then, after the paperwork was completed, we were told we would need an extension on the closing date. His secretary Heather is totally incompetent and couldn't arrange a dogs breakfast. Anyway, is you value your time and want your keys on the closing date, DO NOT chose this lawyers office.

Very ignorant and arrogant lawyer.Had a bad experience with him as opposing lawyer . Spends most of his time working for junkies and dealers at Lindsay court .avoid this parasite

Found Shawn personable. But that is where the good ends. This case turned into the worst divorce decision I have ever heard. The financials were incorrect and seemed to be left out. There was no arguing or redirect when' a clearly confused and incorrect Dr was on the stand. The case was clearly one sided from the start. The judge was unfair I will admit but the legal representation was extremely substandard. Communication with his assistant was the only high point! Should have taken her with us to court in stead! She was on the ball, Stick to real estate law.... Divorce is not your strength!

Communication is key. This office can not even communicate among themselves. They provided inaccurate information to opposing council. They failed to notify me of the date of my first case conference, I only found out my court date from tge realestate lawyer. I found their billing practices lacked important facts such as a record of how much I had already paid. I work in a seasonal industry, when the clerk over estimated my income by over $9000/yr, I questioned the calculation and was told not to worry she knows all about my occupation and her figures had to be right. They all seem to be very likable people, they need to work on effective and accurate communication.

When every other lawyer that my daughter had - and there were many - indicated there was no hope for my daughter to ever have her daughter back home where she belonged and out of the clutches of CAS ( who feel so almighty powerful at destroying families). I'm not saying they are all corrupt but I have personally witnessed their lying and the little games they play to get things to go in their favor - afterall, who would question CAS's motives - Shawn McNamara that's who!!! Shawn McNamara was definitely a rock of hope and we believe heaven sent. He went well beyond his call of duty. My granddaughter has been home now for 5 1/2 yrs. and is above average in her schooling, a violin prodigy and showered in love. :) Thanks Shawn!

this is the BEST family lawyer that deals specifically with kidnappings by the childrens aid society. He will fight them with everything in his power (as long as YOU are willing to do your part)to get your child/children back into your care where they belong. This is only MY experience in dealing with Mr.McNamara, but he did it for me after I fired my first lawyer of almost 2yrs....Mr.McNamara had my daughter back in my care within months after I hired him. Shawn will not give us our files,or transcripts of the cases.He will not ask for good evidence.Our children are in foster homes and he has not even asked to increase phone calls.He has not defended our case at ALL.My daughter was strip searched by the CAS and our lawyer has not even mentioned it to the courts.This is only on issue with the CAS that our lawyer fails to mention. We cannot find another lawyer at this time to accept this case, because we cannot find another lawyer that will except Legal Aid.Believe me I have tried.And we have made the lawyer aware of this.There are many issues that are wrong with this case,and our lawyer fails to mention these issues to the judge.He will not allow us to record the cases.I do have him recorded on several occassions.I have a recording about the CAS strip searching my daughter,and he would only change the subject.We have been asking for the CAS files since Dec. 09 & still don't have them.Our MPP wont help because its in court.Truly unjust.
