I am so grateful that a friend of mine referred me to Mr. Alegria. He and his staff (mostly, Matt, his Office Manager) were very helpful and responsive. Mr. Aelgria was pleasant to deal with, even when he aggressively confronted me about some of my initial expectations that were not completely realistic. I am glad that I did not hire someone who was determined to just tell me what I wanted to hear, to keep me happy. Of course, I recommend this Firm.

I hired him for an excessive DUI charge. It was my first offense and I was terrified. He said I was definitely going to jail, no matter what, for at least 10 days. The officer that arrested me told me I would probably get community service/SILD and no jail time, but John insisted I would go to jail. What lawyer does that?! He was extremely judgmental. He was late for my arraignment and late for my first pre-trail date which made me have to schedule another one. I had to wait 4 months for sentencing. I stressed out for the entire 4 months and fortunately only got 13 days of SILD (which is work detail from 8am until 3pm AND you get to go home). He had on the same outfit each time I met with him, which I found strange. Bad experience all around.

I worked with John for a DUI case. He is belligerent, immature, and not a good attorney. He is not respected by other attorneys or judges. This man should not be allowed to practice law. He has a number of formal complaints against him with the Idaho State Bar. I wish I would have made a formal complaint against Mr. Alegria so others wouldn't have to suffer like me and his other clients.

This attorney represented my ex-husband in our divorce. He showed up late to the trial TWICE! Making the judge return to chambers to await him. He was unprepared and unprofessional from the beginning, even belligerent and childish in his approach. He looked a fool when he asked ridiculous questions that cost my ex. I received everything I asked and more because of his mistakes. After the trial was over, it took him 4 months just to sign the QRDO order, costing me an additional $1000 just to send letters to get his signatures. When my ex asked to drop his representation, it took him those same 4 months and we STILL don't have the letter. My divorce was final in February, it is now May and I still do not have the documents signed. I would NOT hire this attorney unless you want to lose...it was sad to watch. I actually felt sorry for my ex, and that's pretty bad. I don't know how this man is allowed to practice, it's a disgrace that he takes money from these people.

He is a child. Not professional, arrogant, dismissive, and afraid of being held accountable for his mistakes. This man should not be practicing law. Before you work with him, call the state Bar association for a history of his conduct. He has had his license suspended before for inappropriate conduct. He i a bottom-of-the-barrell attorney.

Mr. Alegria knows that law and was a huge help to me and my family without milking the system. I used him for a DUI and then for a Custody Modification. He was always available or returned my calls soon after, even on weekends. His assistant Matt was very courteous and attentive to my needs. I would highly recommend him and already have to several friends/family.

This lawyer tells it like it is. Everything happened just as he predicted. I was able to contact him day or night and he always answered my questions honestly and provided me with excellent direction. I have now used him in four cases, both criminal and domestic relations.

This attorney is representing the mother of my sons child and is probably the rudest man I have ever meet. After my sons status hearing for child support, my son ask for the mothers phone number so he could contact her about visitation. When given the number my son ask if it was hers or her mothers. The attorney said it was hers and she would answer, my son simply said "yea right" and walked off. the attorney called him an ****, jackass and a prick. He also stated that with that attitude he could forget any kind of visitation. When I and my sons mother confronted him on what he had said, he told us our son was a rude jackass. I said he was rude to and he stated "No I am being civil" then procedued to tell us that he did not have time to educate us on the difference.

Alegria was very welcoming at first but once the trial date got closer he was difficult to reach and had little or no time to talk. He arrived late at the trail leaving me on my own and met with the judge without me, making a settlement that I now regret. This was a huge waste of my money and I regret ever lining this mans pockets. Would not take his help if it was free.

This lawyer lied from the beginning about "hasn't lost a case in 9 years". he also made statements pertaining to other states during sentencing that were false, said, "it is legal to sell marijuana" in another state. and when corrected by the DA he laughed it off and made jokes. When subjects were brought to him by us that put him under pressure, he always 'had to go'. Waited till the last minute when communicating with judges about us having to travel 11 hours for hearings he could appear for without us, never once did we not have to travel, on two occasions we traveled 11 hours for postponements. He was horrible.
