This divorce encounter should have been simple, however, he started asking for things that I didn’t want stating “we have to bring something to the table” and “you are not to discuss our conversations with anyone”. A red flag overlooked on my part. This almost year long process was the most stressful and cruel interaction imaginable. I will not post extremely personal information but I will go on record to say that either Mr. Cargill or his wife, who works with him, told me ex’s lawyer that I was doing him, and I quote, “a favor by divorcing him as he would be dead in 10 years by being married to me”. I strongly encourage anyone considering this firm as representation to think again....the husband/wife team is a cruel one. And YOU will be made the one at fault.

James Cargill is a great lawyer. point blank, my husband was not sure about him but my husband was proven wrong. Mr. Cargill does not beat around the bush and don't want to hear anything that is not pretending to the case. He does what he says he is going to do and he tells you off the bat probley how it going to to go in court and he does everything he can to help you if you are will to help yourself first.HE GOES TO BAT 1000% for his clients and if anyone says other wise well they just didn't tell the truth and they wanted him to go in and do something that is against his morales, so to sum it up, James Cargill thank you! And my husband thanks you

Following a year of frustration with a very inept Social Services Dept. the police finally had our grandchild removed from the home of his drug addicted mother. A fourteen month contentious battle ensued with the final custody hearing resulting in the grandmother being awarded custody. Throughout all of this Mr. Cargill was there for the grandchild while being fair and even handed with his mother who continued her destructive behavior. Mr. Cargill was not our attorney, but the child's. He stayed on top of the case throughout a difficult year, performing his duties in a professional, unbiased manner. His efforts ultimately saved the life of the four year old child when his mother had a violent high speed accident. Were it not for the wisdom of the court and Mr. Cargill, the child would have been a passenger in this wreck. If this case is heard again I hope the courts will reappoint Mr. Cargill.

Mr cargill is the worst, rudest, most unetical so called professional that I have ever worked with. He does NOT do his job and does NOT represent his clients properly.

James Cargill, is in my opinion, a very poor choice for a personal injury lawyer. We contracted him over 3 years ago and he has yet to produce even the first step toward resolution. Cargill sets his expectations very low and miserably fails to meet them. He makes excuses and promises that he never expects to fulfill.

I currently utilize this lawyer for my business. He helped me get setup from day 1. I have never had a problem seeking his advice for situations. He is always quick to respond and to provide quality documentation and communications in a effort to build a strong relationship between self and clients. I would recommend this lawyer to anyone in need of a selfless man.

Biggest ripe off I have ever had the misfortune of being acquainted with. This guy was the court appointed guardian ad litum for the kids and had the audacity to charge over $8,000 for two visits with kids, 1 interview with Mom, 1 interview with significant other and 1 interview with father. He was in court for 8 hours and had already been paid $3000. His legal focus was on his own beliefs and morals and not on those of the law. A Two-faced crook who I would not trust any further than a common street criminal. Use caution if you are forced to utilize this guys legal counsel. Divorce is hard enough on ALL parties, trust me when I say this guy is a step-dad who has no understanding of the needs of anyone's children. His fees are exorbitant, unwarranted and in my personal opinion not worth what he professes to deliver. Use him at your own discretion, but you cannot say you were not warned by these personal opinions.
