Mr. Bill Hicks is the epitome of professionalism, experience, and kindness, all of which are immediately evident upon meeting him. I was recommended to him by a friend, but upon our first meeting, I could tell that Mr. Hicks genuinely cared about my case and wellbeing.
I was facing a Driving on Suspended License charge, for which I was expecting a short jail sentence. Mr. Hicks, through his decades-long career and garnered experience was able to not only keep me out of jail, but also provided around-the-clock updates on my situation, highlighting his commitment to my case.
Overall, I would rate Mr. Hick’s service to me as perfect. If you are looking for an attorney who will give you 100 percent of his effort, while also bringing with him a wealth of experience and genuine concern for your well-being, Mr. Hicks is your best choice. My case was in Arlington, but I have no doubt that he can provide the same results in any jurisdiction or county.

Mr. Hicks handled my sensitive criminal traffic matter effectively and efficiently. The case started with a detailed office interview about the incident, and covered legal issues and preparations for the trial. As the trial approached, he responded promptly. On the morning of trial, he reviewed my options and legal considerations, and provided his recommendation and reasoning. I was pleased and relieved at the result.

Mr. Hicks is a very attentative lawyer. He is extremely knowledgable and knew every prosecuter and judge in northern VA. He answers my calls almost every time, and if not he returns them promptly. He is such a good man, very nice person, and will tell you straight up how your case will pan out. I have been represented by Mr. Hicks in multiple cases, and he has provided extreme support for every one of them. As a good person in a bad situation, I would highly recommend Mr. Hicks to anyone in the same position as me. He has gone above and beyond for my cases, and has been so nice along the way. It's good to have a straight-up person standing up for you. So far, Mr. Hicks has won two cases for me, with one left. Needless to say, I have high expectations that my next case will also be won by my amazing attorney. =]

He has been in law for some time 33 years, and it's time for him to retire. His communication is good and he is always available. I would say though that he is extremely forgetful, seems more concerned to get the case over with and move on than concerned with the best outcome. He forgot key pieces to my case, for which I had to remind him. He overcharges for what he says he's the "best" at. I would say at best he's average, and that even for the price many of the public defenders could be better. Overall I was very unimpressed with his work, his tenacity to fight for my side, and also his rates. He did get me off, but I will say that I think that any of a hundred other lawyers could have gotten the same deal with less expense. I would not recommend him to anyone facing serious charges.
