Mr. Schwartz claims to be one of the top Disability Income Insurance attorneys in New York State. I would not recommend him and his firm, Quadrino Schwartz, based on my experience with them. My main complaints are the following: (1) his firm was not able to meet set time lines (numerous delays) in the preparation of my appeal. As a consequence, we had to file for several extensions; (2) I personally had to carefully review and fix grammatical mistakes and other “typos” throughout the appeal; (3) the appeal to the insurance company prepared by Mr. Schwartz and his associates DID NOT MEET PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS (confirmed by several other independent attorneys later); (4) after the appeal was denied and Mr. Schwartz had collected his fees, he told me that my case was not worthwhile to take to court. His assessment turned out to be far away from reality: I retried my case with the help of another attorney, and reached a settlement with the insurance company within a 6 month period.
