Kysa Crusco and her team did a fantastic job navigating our family through a very difficult situation. Very patient and understanding but also tough and knowledgeable. We felt like we were in good hands.

This "GAL" has 1 agenda, whatever will make her money and if that means taking one side to get the other, she will. She, from day 1 was on the other party's side, she defended and made excuses for the person the entire time. Any interactions that I had with her rarely involved discussion of the well being of the children. She was rude and condescending to me from our first meeting, which she canceled multiple times. She showed up to court looking less than professional, talked to other people about details of her other cases in front of myself and my family, sat on her phone looking thru emails in the court room while she should have been paying attention and chiming in and all the while charging for the time there. She had the opportunity to speak up but just sat there mum. She doesn't see both sides, she won't even listen, which is an absolute must if you are to be unbiased. Truly disappointed - lots of money wasted.

She as a gal was terrible. She lies and does not work for the child. I’m so sad that she is part of “the system”. I always believed that people were good at heart. Some people are not. She has a money agenda. So sad that she puts money over children. I pray for her to start to be a better person and do what is right for the children.??. Im not angry at her, just disappointed. I hope she changes. Some day we will all atone for our sins.

Kysa did not deliver what she promised as there is extremely poor communication. When you discontinue her services and hire another attorney, you won't believe the difference! Just be careful as she will try to sue you for expenses that are not valid and then will take you to court via a collection attorney. There are many other attorney to chose from so don't make the same mistake I did by choosing Kysa Crusco. Beware...as I now see many others feel the same way!

GAL's are supposed to give you a copy of their file when you and/or your attorney request it. I requested a copy of my file. My check was returned by Kysa. My attorney requested a copy of the file (several times) to no avail. The GAL managed (via court order) to prevent my attorney from getting a hard copy of the file. The only option my attorney had (at the time) was to go to the GAL's office and look through the file, on my dime. I couldn't afford that (at the time). When the case was closed, I obtained an electronic copy of my file. There were several documents missing. To date, I have not received the missing documents. My parental rights were taken away from me temporarily. The GAL board is going to review my complaint soon. I am taking every legal action I can to get my story out there. I will never get the time that I lost with my child back, but I will certainly do my best to make sure it never happens to anyone else.

I can honestly state that I became increasingly disappointed with my interactions with Kysa the longer I retained her as counsel regarding modifying my comparatively straightforward pre-existing parenting agreement. During our initial consultation, I found her to be both accommodating and knowledgeable; however, as I worked to prepare for the first mediation session that was rapidly approaching, communication from Kysa and her staff was nearly nonexistent. I felt that the closer one gets to his/her mediation date and the more topics that have yet to be reviewed and discussed, there exists an ever-increasing need to have both some sort of acknowledgement as well as guidance from your attorney. I sent numerous emails over the span of days, as well as follow up emails (to make sure they were being received), and multiple times it was not until I called her office that I was informed my email had been received.
In the end, even after pushing for responses, I felt that I had no other choic

Crusco talked a good game during the consultation, but turned out to be worse than having no one. She sat mum at the first mediation session while the other attorney said that my kids would be better off with my spouse having more than half time--after a history of equal parenting, and after my spouse had hit my older child, called him names, etc. I was forced to argue for myself, while Crusco repeatedly suggested that I meet halfway. Nothing at all was accomplished at either mediation but I was later billed thousands, when the sessions lasted for 5-6 hours.
Next Crusco promised to draft a settlement letter, but failed to after a wait time; she then promised to send the draft one Friday, then took personal leave for a week. She later drafted language which didn't seem to protect me well. When I asked that concerns be addressed, she finally said that she had drafted the letter and didn't intend to put in requested changes--and that I'd better approve her version if I wanted it sent.

I have to agree with the previous comment made on 07/03/13 to a T!: "Kysa Crusco not only has NO business working as a GAL.She flat out lies in court and ignores crucial information regarding children's safety". She knowingly and deliberately ignored reports and any and all evidence that was presented to her in my favor. She is blatantly biased!!! "Although she claims to be an advocate for victims of domestic abuse, she continues to enable the abuser to manipulate and control their victim through the court at the child's expense. She had her mind made up prior to ever meeting or speaking to me about who I am and what my intentions are. She was dead wrong". I would caution anyone who has her assigned as their GAL... one word of advise RUN!!! I agree "she is more interested in furthering her career as a father's rights attorney and making a name for herself than she is about the safety and well being of your child".

Although she claims to be an advocate for victims of domestic abuse, she continues to enable the abuser to manipulate and control their victim through the court at the child's expense. She had her mind made up prior to ever meeting or speaking to me about who I am and what my intentions are. She was dead wrong. I would caution anyone who has her assigned as their GAL... She is more interested in furthering her career as a father's rights attorney and making a name for herself than she is about the safety and well being of your child.

Ms. Crusco was very biased and after the trial, the father of my child agreed. (Even though she was in his favor). I found thst she lied about alot of this. One of the most important was that my Ex had a "drop down crib" I had seen in a picture he submitted. She stated it was not. She then told me he had a highchair when I asked she said he did, he didn't and still does not. She is putting children in any state she has a license to practice in danger. Yes, A child does well with both parents. however when there are criminal charges and domestic violence, she ignores this. Which I though was particular funny as she is an advocate for women who suffer Domestic Violence. Working with her only taught me that she charges so much and treats her cases like they are a joke. I had to do some paralegal work myself and proved her wrong on a few occasions.I would think long and hard about accepting her as your child's "Guardian Ad Litem"She absolutely did not have my 1 year old's safety in mind

Ms. Crusco has a lot of learning to do. She knows nothing about family law and does not know how to question witnesses, prepare for trial or keep her clients informed. If you want your money to go to good use, hire someone else if you are in need of an attorny for divorce or family matters. You'll save some money.
