I got this lawyer in February 2020 only after receiving Legal Aid and it wasn't for my friend who is a lawyer but could not act on my behalf, this file would have dragged on.He never returned phone calls and when he did, it was a month or so later. He never explained his strategy once I presented an argument to him to accelearate this file and he didn't acknowledge the contribution.He threatened with leaving my file open whenever it got on his nerves.I beleive he violated client-attorney privelege by sharing details about my case strategy to my ex which resulted in not getting the mid-point of what was owed to me by the divorce act.When I got my endorsement on March 17th 2021, he delayed filing the Support Deduction Order by three months and his only excuse was that he had other clients and I was not important enough. BEWARE! This man has been reported to both to the Legal Aid Office and to the Law Society of Ontario for numerous professional rules violations.

My name is Andrew, and I was involved with Mr. Murphy in my step-daughters legal issues with Child Protection. Mr. Murphy violated the Attorney-Client relationship, and rather than helping his client-worked with the Children's Aid to violate her rights. He is a former Employee of York Children's Aid Society--so if you are in a Child Protection situation he is more likely to work in cooperation with the CAS, than protecting your parental rights. He is also a bigot, considering he judged me on my former Crown Wardship before realize that my education dwarfs his, and that I am a Health Professional and former teacher. So, I say to you BEWARE!!!!

This lawyer wasted months of my time and a lot of my money with no result. I found him to be very creepy and highly unprofessional. I warn anyone to not obtain his legal services.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE-papers were not filed in time and my case was dismissed-and he never even bothered to let me know. I attempted to contact him for months with NO RESPONSE!!! I only got answers when I went to the courthouse myself and the clerk at the courthouse informed me my case had been dismissed over 8 months ago, and then she showed me copies of the notices that had been sent to his office-notices that I had never been informed about. I had to go through an entire process on my own to get the case re-instated (thank goodness I had proof for the courts-I had saved the 22 emails I sent to him requesting updates on the status of my case over the several months). And then because of the length of time that had gone by, the judge said I had to start from scratch and file all new papers. Never did I receive an apology, or any acknowlegement of his screw-up.

Chris has been my lawyer for about 10 years. He is very competent, very professional, and very fair. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone who has family law issues, or real estate matters.
