If I could give less than zero I could. Sold me on his service like the father from Matilda selling a used car. Unresponsive, unavailable and when you call him out he makes you feel like you’re wrong. He showed up to mediation and blew his nose and sneezed everywhere and said less that 10 words the entire time. I couldn’t saved thousands attending mediation alone and been much better off. Don’t buy the fancy credentials, there’s nothing backing them up. Hear I am years later still trying to fight for my youngest daughter based on his “credentials” and what he was going to do for me. Avoid at all costs and hope there’s justice out there for single dads who lose their kids because of someone else’s only desire being to collect their money so they can build a new house.

Michael is exactly what is wrong with family law. He is out to make money and takes on high money cases usually abusers and quickly turns the case into new extremes of post separation abuse. Nothing this guy does is in the best interests of the child. I hear he has kids of his own...may God protect them. He will undoubtedly be responsible for an abuser hurting their child or worse.

I retained him 2 years ago and he has done nothing! In fact he threatened me on many occasions to just give me ex move to make it go away. He does not hi k of the best interest of the children at all. He is a father of three daughters so that blows my mind. He only takes on major expensive cases and if that is not you do not hire him!

Michael is an outstanding trial lawyer. After almost 5 years in court, my matter unfortunately needed to go to trial, and Michael made sure that I was thoroughly prepared, even though he had just taken on my case weeks before trial commenced.
I was blown away at how expertly the trial was run, and the amount of detail that Michael and his team were able to gather in such a short period of time to make a very strong and convincing case.
So strong in fact that we were the successful party at trial and in fact achieved an outcome that far exceeded our expectations.
I would not hesitate to recommend Michael and his team. When you are dealing with high stakes matters that involve a child or children, you can take comfort in the fact that Michael will do all that he can to help you.

Utterly useless. Completely absent from my file and doesn't respond to emails or calls. Even the junior staff don't respond to emails or calls and are completely unprofessional. They claim that they do not hold up your file despite not responding for months. I spent a fortune and got nothing for it. I had to fire him and find a lawyer that could actually perform. My friend used him as well and had the exact same complaints. Seems everyone has the same problem. He is there to take your money and give nothing back in return. The definition of the negative "lawyer" stereotype.

If you are looking for a lawyer who never returns your calls, never responds to your emails, and claims he’s always in court, then Michael is for you. Initially, he will sell you a dream. Then, he will substantially underdeliver. He eventually disappears altogether. I felt like I was going though this terrible journey on my own and had no representation. I ended up with a settlement that I was extremely unhappy with because I couldn’t imagine months more of going back and forth with Michael. He wouldn’t respond to my emails for weeks on end and he even copies his entire team. It’s pretty impressive. It’s very embarrassing when opposing counsel responds in a few days and you lawyer takes weeks/over a month. Be prepared to be outlaywered by opposing counsel, even if they have less experience. The lawyers at this law firm either have too many clients or merely work 9-5. Unless you’d like to pay a fortune to act on your own behalf, save yourself the despair and go in another direction.

Michael is a lier and completely incompetent. He didn't follow thru on the strategy we discussed and propose. Every couple of weeks he would tell me our meeting was confirmed and he would never take my calls always saying 'I'm in court in another case or i'm at a trial and would get back to you at end of day and i would never hear back from him. He would assure me that documents would be filled with the court and that never happened either. He supported my position for access to the home and promised to provide a letter in case the police were called and he never produced it also saying that i should call the cops. he is full of s---t. never higher him for anything.

Michael Stangarone is a clown plain and simple. I was glad he was on the opposing side. I should be happy he and his associates are so terrible at what they do unfortunately although we beat them and rightfully so because of their pure incompetence what should have been completed months ago is still going on costing me more money for nothing. If you need a lawyer - a good lawyer look elsewhere BUT if you find yourself on the opposing side of this clown, be very very happy.

My case was going nowhere when i was trying to find a new lawyer online. Then i was referred to Mr. Stangarone. He was extremely knowledgeable and he turned my case around. Mr. Stangarone reassured me and kept me up to date with my case and worked hard with the other lawyer to reach a successful resolution. MR. Stangarone seems to care more about his financial well being than your case. Very poor performance in Court and poor Affidavits and Factum`s. It is easier for him to agree what the opposing counsel offer, than go to court and fight in your case. Expect huge bill at the end

Mr. Stangarone is expensive and dishonest lawyer. He did everything in order to make the case more expensive. His office MacDonald and Partners LLP. His fee kept going up by charging extra hours. When you question the bills, then he will introduce his associate with lower hourly rate, but the associate will charge additional hours, in many case the associate will be more expensive the Mr. Stangarone. Mr. Stangarone Affidavits and Factum high school level. His legal secretary during my case was horrible, she made many major mistakes in my case. She typed order that should be FINAL, she made them TEMPORARY and Stangarone approved and submitted to COURT to file. Mr. Stangarone and his associate will charge you for correcting there's mistakes and wrong legal advice, which in my case has been a lot. Save you money and find better lawyer or represent yourself.

brilliant mind but virtually unavailable to client because of huge workload. Made it sound like a slam dunk at first but situation dragged out unnecessarily long time and charged far more than quoted. His assistant continually made costly mistakes. Junior legal support staff was strong. The jury is out on this one

I had two family law lawyers and was not doing well in my care before I found Michael. Michael turned my case around. He saved me and my children. Case taken to Superior Court of Appeal. This lawyer stood before the judges with - "I don't know" and "I think so" and instructed by the judges that not only was this in the wrong court, this was also not the court to criticize. Certainly thankful he was not my legal counsel.

This rating is long overdue. Michael took care of my divorce three years ago. Though mine was simple divorce, it was handled beautifully and his work ethic surely translates to all his cases. In a nutshell - Fantastic. I cannot compliment him enough - professional, made me feel at ease, suggested the right things to do, very knowledgeable,attention to all detail, answered any question I had, responsive to emails. He knew how to handle my ex, (who made things a bit more complicated than necessary). His office staff were great as well. Thank you very much Michael.
