I was falsely accused of sexual assault and was assigned david Schwartz as my lawyer and he was extremely unprofessional, unhelpful and did nothing for me or my case, met with him twice before my court date, he was eating each time, answered no questions, and when it was time for my court dates I had to wheel him around the courthouse myself, and he didn’t say a word in my defence, my advice is to steer clear, or you will regret it.

I have met with this lawyer. He has a great sense of humor; is kind; & he is up to date on the most current laws, acts, & legislation. He also accepts legal aid cases. The most important facts about Mr. Schwartz are: he is compassionate & wants to help others; & he still has all of his mental faculties & legal knowledge! I presented situation where the law has recently changed & MULTIPLE lawyers have missed the issue. Mr. Schwartz immediately knew the relevant law and identified the precise issue. I would caution other readers who are making decisions based on online reviews:understand that these forums are generally the stomping ground for clients who (for whatever reason) did
not get exactly what they want/expected; a lot the complaints are a part & parcel of being a legal aid client; the reviews are one sided. As far as comments about his mobility/appearance: those are unnecessary,irrelevant, & offensive.You want a knowledgeable lawyer and advocate - that is Mr. Schwartz IMO.

When I wanted to fight my mentally and emotionally abusive husband in court in order to keep my kids, David stopped me. As more time passed it seemed that he was working more for my ex husband rather than for me. He allowed things to drag on and on. He did not advise me on my rights. I finally switched lawyers, but by then it was too late. Dealing with David Schwartz was extremely difficult. I would not recommend him for any women seeking help in an abusive situation!

Got this lawyer through legal aid. I must say the lack of professionalism is not there. The lack of communication is horrible, he held onto my marriage certificate for a good 6 months and wouldn't even mail it back to me i had to go in person finally and he was eating a sub sandwich all over his face wearing a bib no joke. 1000+ papers stacked all over his office clearly disorganized as hell. Thankfully I took my business elsewhere and only paid $150. Do not work with him ?

David, at first glance, appeared very slovenly but when we walked in the courtroom, it became very apparent that he knew his stuff and was on friendly terms with all lawyers and judges there and they respect him. Won my daughter fully through him and came back for help with my next case. Always easy to reach. The only lawyer I know who will call back the same day. Loving the new office!

I have been dealing with this lawyer for just over a year now, and is by far the worst to get a hold of or contact. He neglects to answer any questions, and throws out accusations without proof over emails. along with hearing from multiple lawyers that he is one of the worst to deal with, he has proven weekly the same. Do not use Mr. Shwartz, or his "law office" if you are in a hurry or need to get anything done in a required time frame.

Takes forever to respond to any emails or phone calls. Sends letters to clients on yellow graph paper. Very poor communication.

Had to deal with lawyer for a real state issue. verify poor knowledge, skilled and lack of professionalism. Does not know how to deal with the issue, charged me more than double, and because of his mistakes I lost 1500$. He does not even feel sorry for that. He is blaming builder lawyer, so funny. I was about to complain to the law society, when I saw his rating I gave up! His rating is 1.5! I don't blame him anymore, I blame myself, I should check the ratings before I choose him!!!! If you have dental problem and you go to ENT doc, you should not expect to fix you teeth there!

David has been providing Notary Public services for my company for a couple of years. He and his assistant are always willing to accommodate our needs, are very friendly, and his rates are very competitive. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

He did my dad's will, I have never seen a will like that. The paper work was out dated, nothing made sense on the will. And when you call him and he is not there his secretary has to be the rudest person I have ever talked to.This women should be fired for the way she speaks to the people. I would never recommend him to no one, not even my worse enemy.:-(

had dealings with this lawyer over a family law matter, very RUDE reception this lawyer helped a psychopath take my child away from me! made complaints to the law society hopefully they are able to deal with his incompetance. AVOID this lawyer if you can, seems him and his receptionist take personal vendettas against other parties which clouds his judgement in dealing with matters fairly.

By far the worst lawyer in all of Edmonton, possibly Alberta. Charged me so much money and produced .... absolutely nothing! If you want high quality service, and value for your money, you'd better give this man a wide berth. Take my word for it; don't learn about Mr. Schwartz through painful experiences as I did.

I had the misfortune of dealing with this person over a real estate transaction. I have never spoken to him, everything was handled through a very rude receptionist. Two months later, I have no documentation, no accounting, no mortgage papers. All I have is a scan of a title. I'm about to submit a complaint to the Alberta Law Society. Avoid this man.
