Completely miss handled my now wife's home purchase. Should have arranged that the title be in my in-laws' names under trust for wife but instead just put in-laws on the title. Now when we want to take over the title and mortgage we have to pay all the regular home purchase fees (land transfer tax, title insurance etc) plus capital gains for in-laws. This simple oversight cost us nearly 20,000$.

terrible lawyer.. she was my lawyer.. but her inability to even understand anything or negotiate or even communicate caused me to llose my case and i had to pay for it heavily .. both in terms of finances and loosing everything. all she did was copy paste somebody elses case.. even the names and addresses she copy pasted were wrong.. has to withdraw my case after firing her and settle out of court after paying huge panalties. my advise for people is to not goto a random cheap lawyer..especially someone with no experience and always think twice before signing up. this lawyer makes false promises and then denies everything she said.
