I've worked with Valerie for the past two years. She was originally retained to server as my daughter's GAL. All parties, including Valerie, agreed that there were signs that my ex-wife was committing parental alienation abuse re: my youngest daughter. This was further confirmed by the therapist that Valerie recommended. But instead of doing the right thing, and providing equal parenting time, Valerie was lazy and provided the ex with 12 out of 14 days (because that's what every mother gets in Bergen County if the GAL mails it in and doesn't do their job properly). The daughter, who was highly functioning at the time, is now on Prozac and suffering badly.

she was appointed at guardian to my children, she is mean and dishonest. she lies in court and is a horrible person.

The best part of our attorney client relationship was when I fired her and replaced her with someone who had my best interest at heart and didn't rip me off. Her office staff is a disorganized mess and she is a terrible attorney with an awful reputation. I recently met another woman who had the unfortunate experience with VS and she had the very same things to say. Divorce is a horrible time. You deserve better someone much better than this terrible attorney!!! RUN!!!

I Used Valerie for my divorce. She was more concerned about her fashion then my case. I was charged for time that was not mine. When i pointed it out I was told it was a simple mistake. I did not feel like she was working to get me the best outcome, and it was up to me to push the case to get completed. I would chose someone else if I was looking for a divorce attorney

Using Valerie Solimano was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Right from the start I was impressed by her compassion and understanding of my situation. She was very professional..always returning phone calls and emails. Her expertise in her field allowed me to walk away with the best possible outcome. I felt her fees were completely in line with the amount of work my case required. Ms Solimano is a true professional in every sense of the word including her appearance. I would highly recommend her.

Ms Solimano was always responsive to my needs. She was honest with me about the process and the cost at all times. Her staff was kind & compassionate & telephone calls were returned promptly. She guided me through a very difficult divorce & when my resources were strained, she compromised her fees to enable me to move forward with my life without the typical financial devastation that follows. Ms. Solimano returned my calls and emails on weekends, was always approachable and I felt handled my matter with integrity and professionalism. Her assistant Ms. Nowicki was, as well responsive and knowledgeable. I would highly endorse these two women to handle any contested matter. You will not be disappointed.

Family Law is not complicated but it is emotionally charged. Valerie has a reputation of capitalizing on that and takes pride in belittling her clients and taking advantage of people who are in vulnerable situations--very cruel and unprofessional! CAUTION: she pads her bills and will take you to the cleaners. You deserve better!!

Ms Solimano went above and beyond my expectations. I always followed her advice (even though I felt it was hard to do) and found her advice to be right on. My emails and calls were immediately answered even after hours, weekends, or holidays. Ms. Solimano was always straight forward with me - never over-promised and told me the truth. She prepared me for trial and most important, Ms. Solimano gave me compassionate continuous guidance on keeping the children out of the adult issues which helped me help the children through this time. I found Ms. Solimano to be very detailed, dedicated and compassionate. I always trusted we were in good hands which made me comfortable enough to get through the process.

I'm sure all of her vacations including the France one mentioned in the the previous review, was fruit of her tireless milking clients.....at that she's very good at! She seems good at what she does, but be aware, she's very dishonest, a liar and a slanderer. She also knows well how to pad bills. She's all about how to look good attending court and not how to handle court cases in a decent and dignified manner. Do not use her, you will be very sorry! And please post this review, it is important for people to know who they hire.

Valerie never failed to respond to my questions (even answering emails while on vacation in France). She protected my rights , grounded me when I needed grounding, and worked tirelessly for me. Even now, three years after my divorce was finalized, she is still more than happy and willing to answer any questions that I have. This is the person you want to represent you.
