My ex and I hired her to be a mediator during our divorce. I thought it went well as I have NEVER needed an attorney, lawyer, or any deep knowledge in parental rights in Idaho. I trusted her. When my ex went to jail I contated her to get my decree changed and she was happy to help me out. When my ex got out of jail I took him to court. Come to find out not only was her legal advice WRONG but she screwed me over so bad that I am now financially responsible for our debt encrued while we were married. AND, she should have NEVER redone my decree due to conflict of interest. I had to hire anothe attorney who was shocked at her incompetence. She was still emailing me for payments, my new attorney emailed her and told her if she emailed me again he would turn her into the bar. If I was set financilly I would take her to court, STILL! She is no longer working as an attorney but she is working in a local school district.

Unfortunately went with Debra Everman to court. She was expecting a settlement, so she was unprepared when the opposing counsel let us know that there would not be a settlement on the day of the trial. Ms. Everman had nothing prepared and we went to trial with her vast knowledge (sarcasm) and a legal pad. The other attorney had typed notes, all relevant questions prepared and documents and motions ready. Ms. Everman put me on the stand with no preparation and needless to say we got our butts kicked. Use her at your peril. If you want to win or need sound legal advice, pick a different attorney. I have since called other attorneys to go back to trial and they were not surprised when I told my story about Ms. Everman's incompetence.. One remarked that he had heard those stories before from other clients who had made the mistake of choosing her for representation and then called him. He offered me information on how to report her for incompetence to the Idaho Bar Association.

Debra Everman did not provide good knowledge of her profession and did not stand up for me in court. She said things she was going to do and never did. Go find a different lawyer and save yourself a lot of money and frustration.

I have had bad lawyers in the past, but i found Debra through referrals and she won my custody trial hands down. I have had nobody ever ever stand up for me and my children`s wishes. she was excellent in court. She inpeached the opposing attorneys witnesses 4 out of 5 times. The other side never saw her debra coming, she is an amazing lawyer and i would recommend Debra Everman to any person who is thinking to hire her. Good-Luck Shelly Goodman " Client"
