I used Joanna Shaw for my separation agreement. My ex and I were completely amicable and had done the agreement and parenting schedule ourselves but wanted a professional to look over it - her communication skills were poor - I never knew what the next step was or where we were in the process. It took 4 months for her to figure out and sign of the agreement that had been agreed on by both parties. So frustrating! And confusing....

Reading these other comments was a bit strange to me as I had the complete opposite interaction with Joanna Shaw. I found the knowledge and value I got from her was top notch. I appreciated that she was not afraid to give me advice that I might not have been happy with, but was what I needed to hear. I really felt that she was looking out for the best interests of everyone and not simply out to make money off of me. Thank you Joanna!

Met her at FLIC office as advice lawyer. She was very unfriendly and uncaring to my situation. I would not hire her, I would sooner represent myself.

Johanna shaw has horrible timelines regarding emails and phone calls. Chooses to return the ones of her choice. Spoke with few people locally who have never heard of her. I'd steer clear. Pay peanuts you get monkey's.

Has very limited knowledge of family law proceedures, doesn't know what forms to be filled out. Does not return phone calls. Works with the OCL, but can be rather intimidating to clients "assigned" to her.
